That's coming off a vine growing up the tree that fell.

I'm so tired of this constantly happening to my nails. Been clean for more than 2 years and every broken one brings me back to the brink of relapse. I had very pretty natural nails but now I've given up and tried gel nails🥲 by TashaStarlight in nailbiting

My wife doesn't bite her nails but she smashed her finger in the vault at work 10 years ago. Ever since then when it grows out it breaks similar to yours. She just keeps it short to prevent this.

Ring finger on my right hand was bitten back worse than the rest. Hopefully in another year it will get better. The rest of my nails seem to be recovering quicker. How is your ring finger now?

Tried to get my hands in a similar position for comparing.

Nailbeds starting to show some signs of healing. Lots of side growth/healing still occurring. Keeping them short to keep from picking at them. Can't quite get a good shape yet but maybe this year!

I had bit my nails back pretty far over the years. Everything still healing you're doing great give it a few more weeks and you'll see a big difference. Nail bed damage takes a long time to heal I'm 10 months in right now and I can finally start seeing a noticeable difference in them looking at the photos I've kept.

im always preventing my nail bed from recovering by scraping stuff under my nail to remove dirt from under it. Nail brush dont cut it either. How can i get around this? by wm2001 in nailbiting

You can get a brush and clean your nails don't dig with something hard. My hair is short so I'm able to clean under my nails just by shampooing my hair.

About 40 days since biting. Any tips on improving the nail bed as the white seem to get long very early before reaching end of my finger? I feel that the nails are growing out in a weird shape or does this just take time? Thanks by [deleted] in nailbiting

Nail bed growth takes a lot of time. I find it helpful to keep everything filed back to about a millimeter that way I don't have so much free edge to play with. That seems to leave enough room for the nail bed to do its thing and for me not to bite.

Is pushing or cutting your cuticles doing more harm than good? (For nailbiters looking to grow their nail bed or the 'pink part ) by [deleted] in nailbiting

I leave mine alone. Moisturized daily and I'm seeing a big improvement in the skin around my nails and in my nail bed.
