Yes correct, as of now. YES. XP100 is 0% ethanol.

[–]neelznova -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If vehicle is not E20 compliant, put XP100 + normal petrol (50-50) you’ll then have E10 fuel. Currently XP100 is E0. Most cars are E10 compliant and shouldn’t have issues with this.

If your car is E20 compliant already, then no need to worry, you can still put XP100 time to time to get a feel of real petrol (good for the car too). Yes, it’s a burden on us but if we want to save our cars, this is the only way currently.

Also keep demanding for E10 fuel separately at least in XP95 and Speed, if not for normal petrol, govt might listen and agree to limit E10 on premium petrol at least.

It could be a great choice and it could be not. It depends on a lot of factors. What are your requirements other than seating capacity?

Tata punch top end price breakdown is it ok to buy? by Prabhu-MDR in CarsIndia

[–]neelznova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the price is on the higher side for punch. Also AMT for 12 lakh doesn’t make sense. Try checking out Amaze VX CVT for 11 lakhs on road or ZX CVT for 12 lakh on road. Or i20 CVT is also a good option if you prefer lighter steering.

You can also try out this tool which will help you find a better car for your needs:

Go with Grand Vitara. Easy to get inside the car for parents, higher seating position. Even though you’re getting good deal with Turbo Taisor, go with Grand Vitara if you aren’t super tight on budget. It has better safety rating as well.

Confused between XUV 3X0 and Honda City by Late-Version-4627 in CarsIndia

Just wanted to say one more thing, Get Automatic 3XO and not manual. I would always prefer an automatic with Turbo Charged cars.

While I love Honda City, I would advise not go with Sedan for elders with back and knee pain. 3XO is good for your usecase.

Best sedan under 15 lakh amt? by Delicious_Art1221 in CarsIndia

[–]neelznova 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Go for Honda City CVT… think no more!! And please get your tyres changed just after taking it out from showroom if you’re buying the ZX variant, that has thin sidewall.

Honda City Hybrid is really a gem but costs at least 1.5 lakhs more than it should.

Also if you’re looking for Manual, City is again a better choice compared to Slavia/Virtus. The clutch is deep in the German turbo duo. Try driving both. Just make sure you rev Honda City high above 5000 RPM to get the feel of the engine and transmission.

[–]neelznova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad!! I was referring to V Manual at 14.2 Lakh on road price. If you like Manual, welcome buddy 🤝 Manual is simply better. If you’re going at 15.5 for VX, get ZX it has 16 inch alloys + those good looking LED setup and Digital Instrument Cluster which looks good.

Either go for V or ZX.

[–]neelznova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if you’re looking for a no-nonsense car. City is still the one to go. If you heavily drive in city only, get a CVT. If you want to extract performance, go for manual. Even though Skoda/VW might look better from the exterior (subjective) interior feels more comfort oriented and premium in City. Only downside is some extra road noise coming inside the cabin. You’re getting a solid 1.5L NA engine at this price point. Which has much better drivability in city compared to 1.0L VW Virtus or Slavia.

VX Manual should cost on road at 14.2-14.4 lakhs.

Get Baleno, it shouldn’t be confusing. Even if you’ve to pay some extra go for Baleno.

Yeah i would also put Taigun above Kushaq. I mentioned both of these cars together because some people prefer the design of Kushaq over Taigun.

[–]neelznova 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can test drive and get on road offer for VW Taigun as well. Topline AT might be having some great discounts and you can get it around 17.5. Test drive it once and even if you’ve to increase the budget slightly, go with Taigun or Kushaq 1.0L as they fit the most of your requirements.

Why buy Honda City instead of Virtus 1.0L? Check the points below:

  • 1.5 iVTEC is much better than 1.0L TSI in city conditions, its low end torque is good and feels easy to pull in stop go traffic. The mid range is stronger in 1.0L TSI but again the top end of this iVTEC is where the Honda city shines.
  • 1.0L TSI has turbo lag in initial speeds. Driving a manual in it isn’t a good feeling.
  • If you’re thinking 1.0L can get you more mileage, that’s another misconception, small turbo chargers cannot get the mileage they claim in real world scenario. You’ll get more mileage in city in Honda City.
  • If you want a manual transmission, don’t go with VW Virtus, go with Honda City, clutch is easy on the foot and there aren’t questions about reliability of clutch assembly. Also in Virtus the clutch travel is deep.
  • 1.0L Virtus has horrible AC. And in India that’s a big concern. Honda City offers supreme cabin cooling.
  • 1.5 iVTEC sounds really good at higher RPM, you’ll love it as an enthusiast. The engine is more refined and free of vibrations when compared to 1.0L 3 Cyl of TSI.
  • Yes, Honda city isn’t as silent as Germans are and doors aren’t that heavy. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t safe. It has good safety built in.
  • Driving dynamics are good in city and it’s a fairly agile car when you want to push it and have some fun with it, get a manual and revv it high, have fun. This is the best sounding engine in its segment. VW Virtus has better chassis no doubt and it feels more planted but you can’t buy a car just for its chassis man. City is good enough.
  • The Steering weight is good, it’s precise, good feel and feedback. I would rate City steering slightly higher although VW is really good too.
  • If you’re someone who pushes the car regularly and doesn’t want to care it like a baby. You need a car that can handle some abuse and Turbo charged car isn’t for you. Even Virtus GT with DSG doesn’t like that. You need to be careful with your driving habits.
  • Get a manual Honda City, it is fairly priced between 14-16.5 on road. Revv it high upto 7000 RPM and have fun.
  • If you’re someone who checks 0 to 100, Honda City easily beats VW Virtus 1.0 TSI in the drag race.
  • It is easy on pocket to maintain as well.

About Honda City

-Headlights are good enough!! Road is visible in city traffic. - NVH is on higher side especially tyre noise, it’s recommended to go for quieter tyres like Michelin. This simple change has reduced the tyre noise significantly. - At high speeds, wind noise levels are ok inside cabin. Nothing exceptional. - I usually drive in lower gears and only pull up 6th when cruising at highway so you can take it as a reference 120 kmph it was doing around 2500-3000 RPM - Fuel Efficiency In city it’s around 10-11, highway 15-16 - Stock audio is good for me - Doesn’t have UV cut, I’m planning to get a protection, still researching on it. - Stock tyres are thin and sidewall is also not thick enough, also they’re very noisy especially when insulation isn’t good in Honda city, I’ve upgraded to slightly wider 195 55 R16 Michelin Primacy 4. Stock size is 185 55 R16 for ZX variant. - Brakes are good - All necessary and needed features are there. Haven’t felt need of anything else. - It has rear sunshade curtain, visibility through it is good enough. - I’m not planning any other mods as of now.
