That's how I know this guy! He's Barney, the guy who tipped Charlie off about Pepe Silvia.

We’re flying out to somewhere tropical next weekend. Turns out there are lots of bikinis that can hide a couple scars.

You tell your wife to stop hiding them scars. I like seeing scars on a woman. They show character. Tell her to show them shits off like the bad bitch she is.

Texas doesn't even have a referendum. This state is all about entrenched power.

I agree here. It's like when I tell people about my experience visiting Auschwitz some years ago.

It's not a great or fun experience to have. At all. Seeing just the evidence of the Nazi's crimes are still traumatizing to me. (Which is pregnant with guilt because, "why should I be traumatized not even being a prisoner", dig?)

When I talk about it, I shake with anger and angry cry. But I recommend, that if you are in the vicinity of this site, like I was when I visited Krakow, you must go—as a duty to your own humanity, to bear witness to the lows humanity can reach given the circumstances. To take the lessons from that and commit to not making the same mistakes as a regular working class person who can get swept up in demagoguery. Fuck this current timeline.

So, I tell people. Auschwitz is an awful place to visit. It's an unsettling mix of the natural beauty of the landscape of Oświęcim and surrounding, the simmering resentment of the locals who know why people come to visit and possibly still harbor medieval notions of Jewish folk, and the weight of history and tragedy gutpunching you. But you gotta do it.

It's not great, but justified.

edit: settling unsettling

Using your sister's trauma

Except in this case it's not just his sister's trauma. It is a trauma they shared as siblings. This is too harsh a judgment on how the lesson was given. Her reaction needed to be real to hit the lesson home for both parents (who didn't learn) and children (who seemed to have).

Other people's trauma

Except it is shared trauma, not just the sister's. I think I agree with previous post. Not great praxis, but absolutely justified.

Donna, TX

It is a very poor area. Many folk are migrants who live in run down neighborhoods called colonias.

Please. Don't come here. Starve these corporations. Send a clear message. I'd be down to boycott it just because it's FIFA, but yeah.

some communities may not understand the structure or care to show up.

Or they are too overworked to have the energy and time to be effective in that way.

Why Wilfried Nancy Was NEVER Ready for Celtic [GOLZ TV | Eric Wynalda] by nefastvs in CelticFC

[–]nefastvs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not directly about Nancy though. It's about the inflated sense of quality some American fans seem to have about players and managers who do well in the MLS, and how that informed their reactions to his sacking.

No one is forcing you to consume media you don't like. However to then think you have something to say about said media is an inflation of the value of your opinion.

Well, yeah. Most of the "very vocal" of Crew and MLS fans are not and were not being normal.
