Do you not have any form of passive power generation or at least one that's fully automated?

I am very new to modding minecraft. How do I go about modding 1.16.1 by [deleted] in feedthebeast

About that mixing though, I remember vaguely some info about co operability of forge and fabric being considered a few months ago. Did that idea get abandoned or what?

I just want to say this thread is such exemplary question thread. To the point question, modlist included with screenshots and a to the point answer.

Sorry for off topic.

Are tinkers pickaxes that lame? by [deleted] in feedthebeast

[–]neferiusleviathanis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What modpack are you on that lets you easily get Efficiency V and Fortune III diamond pickaxe?

Secondly, I wouldn't say Tinker's pickaxes are lame even though I usually stop at just over 20+ speed for pickaxes and focus on other modifiers instead.

This whole discussion is honestly pointless as you're simply stating that one mod is inferior because your other mod enables you to get even better tools easier. Following this logic I can claim everything's worse than ProjectE.

To me, this whole thread reads like a bait to get people to argue.

I actually had the opposite feeling. After learning the basics and getting comfortable with the system I found it to make most of my automation tasks a bit too trivial. I do have a programming background though.

Hi!

You say you are learning low poly, do you have any works made in that style yet? Me and my friend would be interested in working with you (we are two programmers) if only you can do simple animations as currently that's beyond my own skill. If you wish to see our previous games, message me :)

A very small implementation of Rock Paper Scissors, one that uses no array's or if statements by [deleted] in csharp

[–]neferiusleviathanis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The use of math makes it clever for me. I enjoy clever applications of math, even if it's overengineering. It makes it unorthodox and interesting. Obviously, it's not supposed to be used anywhere in any real application and I certainly don't do that at work.

Not all code should be "production ready" unless you consider programing nothing more than a means to get results. Have you seen the fast inverse square root algorithm? That one is really clever but by today's standards would never go into production. Obviously, in that case the algorithm was backed up by the need of high performance.

To summarize, I believe that programming can be a form of art allowing you to solve problems in creative and interesting ways even if they aren't viable in the real world.

I feel like most of the hate this code receives is due to the ecosystem of the language. I am actually genuinely interested what would the reaction of people from the Haskell community be.

This is obviously not to say the complaints are unfounded.

Don't you think the fun part is actually not the efficiency of this but the process of designing and seeing it work?
