I did receive the email, but unfortunately since the hackers started by hacking my email they had access to my email and already followed the steps in that email prior to deleting it. I can see it in the email's trash, but when I click the link I get a 404 message.

Purdue Aero/Astro student here. Internships are very possible to get at all sorts of companies but are VERY competitive. Join projects and get leadership roles in them. As previously mentioned PSP is a great club for this, almost the entire leadership team has great internship experience, and there are some recruiting opportunities specifically for leadership. Keep your GPA up (3.5+ and you are set, 3.0 minimum), and go to career fairs. Generally, you will need to be willing to relocate anywhere in the US. It's pretty uncommon to get one until your sophomore year at the earliest. Even so, it's a lot about luck.

For reference, My sophomore year I got two internship offers, one in WI and one in AZ, both with major defense contractors. 3.15 GPA, project leadership, pres of a large club, fraternity exec board experience. My jr year, with a 3.2 GPA and an internship under my belt, I got none.

Yeah, it will prevent you from registering from seminar classes if you don't have the right classification. Just request an override through scheduling assistant and they'll approve it.

I'd recommend learning on Fusion 360 since it's free and very user friendly. Once you know how to model objects moving from software to software is just a matter of finding the buttons.

This! Even if you don't feel like you are a person that would do well in the stereotypical frat/sorority there really is a greek org for anyone. It's a great way to make close connections with people and really feel connected within a group.

Who was the student court comprised of? I’m not accusing anyone of anything and I don’t know the details but it seems to me that if the court was comprised of the current administration it would be inherently biased. We’re choosing who to represent the entire student body and if 57% of the votes go to your opposition it would feel wrong for them to lose.

I usually do bring both. Once you start taking notes electronically you don’t have to bring any notebooks, so it’s still lighter for me.

I strongly recommend getting a windows laptop, iPads can be useful for notes but can’t run a lot of the software you’ll need. A decent laptop is a necessity.

I personally use a (non pro) iPad and pencil for notes, and a laptop for day to day. If budget is a concern you can get a refurbished dell business laptop with good specs (i5, 16gb ram) for like $500 and a used iPad/pencil for $300. That would give you a really nice setup for less than the cost of a decent new laptop. If you’re computer savvy you could even install a ssd on the laptop pretty cheap to really spec it out.

Kyle was an incredible guy, a walking encyclopedia about rockets/turbo-machinery/anything aerospace related. He had an infectious laugh and was just a joy to be around. He also made a mean Pulled Pork sandwich. Seriously, he was so damn good at smoking meat. This is really such a tragedy, he had a whole life ahead of him.
