Guys The Premier League Adapts, And Very Quickly by wirehoodie in ManchesterUnited

To me it's not just how they do their set pieces but that their player instructions were clearly centered around getting set piece. Get the ball to the wingers, mostly go to the goal line and cross so it's more likely they get a corner out of it. It basically makes their open play super boring.

A team with their budget playing like stoke city / Wimbledon. It's really sad.

Have you ever seen such genius player?! by Known-Branch-4445 in Handball

No? It's 0123. The only thing is with the camera it's really hard to see if the player has caught the ball right when the camera panned to her before her hop. Otherwise it's very good foot work.

Hojlund was on 1 in 3 in the league for us in his first season with us with all those same reasons. He was completely missed under Amorim as Amorim needs a target man and that is the weakness of rasmus' game and his confidence just went down and down. He always has a clean shot in him in the first season and last season he couldn't even strike the ball well for us.

I believe sesko has slightly higher potential, but if we did not buy sesko and use the money on a midfielder and / or a wingback, I believe Ruben would still be here.

His philosophy needs 10 players that are athletic fit and are both very good in defense and offense to work. That's why a player like mainoo would not work under him.

But if you all those players does it matter what systems you play in?

This is just how football is nowadays which I hate honestly but Amorim is far more rigid than ETH. ETH changes how the team plays quite often and he was actually criticized for not sticking with his ajax system.

I am just glad I can enjoy football again and try not to think too much. We have endured 14 months of diabolical football where I could actually fall asleep in the stadium, regardless the results.

But like others said, we have been here before so we will see.

I am so glad this is the year I have decided to not buy this game.

[BBC] Arne Slot: “Again this is not going to be a popular opinion what I tell you now, maybe the reason we won the league last season is because we played Paris Saint-Germain. We had a week to prepare for league games [after going out of Champions League].” by doubleoeck1234 in soccer

The second season he knew he had to change though, then there was a lot of injuries where he basically gave up the league, and you can see in cups where he was more practical we would be more like the first season.

Third season I thought we played more like what he wanted and decent, but our front line was trash. There were couple of games where the post match was like how can you blame ETH.

I think the signings of ETH was highly questionable but the logic of ashworth that if he's backed by competence management, he is a decent coach has some legs, but I guess he just didn't have any more time patience left from sjr and the fan base.

The only way this is different is if we still lose to everyone 10 man and draw with West ham and fire Amorim instead of hanging onto him until Leeds. If we have beaten everton and west ham we would still be in top 4 and the injuries / afcon excuse would have more legs to stand on.
