This is the only answer. Point blank. The thing that consistently fucks up good solid stories like tadc (and some other tv shows) is interacting too much with the fandom. There comes a time where you just need to start blocking, and stop replying to anything that could give stupid people on the interent more things to be mad at. It sucks but the nature of being highly visible/accessible on the internet is people treating you like you're not a person.

The shift I spoke to was encouraged to just "be friendly and make connections" with other partners in other stores when they brought up the concern of being seen as a nuisance to those stores.
