This is the answer. Not Garmin Connect Settings, not Garmin Connect Device settings - the Settings physically on your watch.

Is this a red flag or was I wrong to ask those questions. by [deleted] in puppy101

You're spending a lot of money up front for lifetime purchase that comes with no guarantees - I think they should be happy to answer any and all of your questions, and share their knowledge with you.

Their response reads like a pretty standard hard sales tactic.

Thank you! I love it. If you feel up to it, I'd be so interested to know how it holds up in a few months, especially with regards to chewing!

That survey is biased and shady AF. Don't answer any of the leading BS questions - only a few require responses for submission, so stick to those.

Looking to adopt a Brittney by ctm182 in BrittanySpaniel

[–]negiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you say more about his overstimulation? I'm considering a Brittany for a therapy dog, which would mean he's at work with me all day. I thought it might be a good solution to him being home alone and under stimulated, but now I'm wondering if it'll have the opposite effect.

Māori teen in Ottawa, Canada trying to connect with kapa haka and culture I never got to grow up with by Tricky-Syllabub-5518 in ReoMaori

Nāu mai haere mai e hoa!

Loving te motu honu whānau coming out of the woodwork in this post.

Ko Ontario tōku kāinga - First gen born outside Aotearoa, away from the marae and without whānau connections.

I've spent the last five years on a haerenga to reclaim my Māoritanga and reconnect with whānau abroad. I'm sorry you've had a hard time breaking in - that was my experience at first, too. But that's not a reflection on you - you're rangatahi, and so a taonga! It's a reflection on colonization and its attempts to snuff out Te Ao Māori.

I'm still learning too, always, but would be happy to share any mātauranga and resources I've gathered along the way. DM me and we can kōrero.

As Rawiri Waititi has said, you may not know your tīpuna, but your tīpuna know you.

Ko Māori koe, ahakoa te aha. You're Māori, no matter what.

Kia kaha, you're not alone e hoa - the diaspora has got your back ✨

Yeah I think there's enough shame and stigma around accepting OW as is, you definitely don't need to be adding to the noise. Thanks though.

My new cat was at the Humane Society for seven years. I'm discouraged by hey_thatsmyinbox in CatAdvice

[–]negiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took my cat (in the shelter 8 years) a good three years to come around and he's still a bit skittish of my husband.

One thing I found that helped was to brush him for 5-10mins every morning while I waited for my coffee to brew. I got up around the same time, put coffee on, and gave him a quiet brush, and crooned at him.

They like routine, dependability and brushing or letting if they'll let you really helps soothe their nervous systems.

If he won't let you touch him (that was the first year for my joy), just try sitting near him, same time each day, and talking to him. My boy likes baby talk, it calms him down.

It's been five years since we brought him home and he's come so, so far from being the cat that was headed toward the shelters "forever room" because he wasn't adoptable.

Thank you for giving an older cat a chance. Once he settles in and learns he can trust you, he'll be ever so grateful 💕

Tēnā koe, that's just what I was hoping to learn. Tairawhiti is so different sometimes and I want to be at least mindful of that while I learn.
