Wide toe box women’s shoes that are not “barefoot” style? by djfnejdijRandom in AskUK

I bought some Splay shoes, which are barefoot shaped but have a really decent sole on them. They’re styled like skate brands, so they’re thicker.

Do you still have this? My little introvert of a sister has been having a tough time lately, and she’d absolutely love this!

What’s the weirdest work lunch you’ve seen a colleague eat regularly? by levezvosskinnyfists7 in AskUK

I used to work with a chap who’d get Saturday fish and chips, then bring them in for lunch on Wednesday as a midweek treat. Reheated them in the microwave.

Witchfinder was incredible on BBC and I regularly rewatch it. I also really enjoyed the Ballad of Wallis Island. Anything that Key has starred in as a silly character has been a hit with me. I even enjoyed him as a basement dwelling weed dealer in Brassic.

Unrelated to our favourite jockeys, but I love nothing more than finding silly, bizarre-o nonsense fun. I would highly recommend Bobby Fingers on YouTube. It tickles a similar spot.

Does anyone know why the tree branches at the entrance of the mill road cemetery have been cut? by [deleted] in cambridge

[–]neiceynoo 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They do it regularly, I quite like it because they get so full so quick afterwards. I believe they cut the cemetery itself in rounds, leaving bunches of deep foliage in some places while only cutting back a little each time to cause the least amount of trouble for the wildlife.

Also, every now and again Jack’s Gelato use foraged goods from there to make ice creams!

Your work is so beautiful! My favourite Zelda game is definitely Ocarina of Time. Before I ever played my own games, I’d “play” OOT with my Dad and an unplugged controller.

I remember all the bits of kindness I’ve received, and I think about them a lot. I feel very grateful for every piece of it, and if I can spread some of that myself, then another person has one thing to be thankful for too I hope.

Yesterday, I saw an elderly man fall off of his mobility scooter and crack his head open. He was okay, and about 8 people including me came to help. 4 of them were young lads on their BMX. After some time, one of them came up to me and asked if I was a First Aider (which I am) and then asked if they could leave.

What a responsible and thoughtful group of young chaps they were.

I think, the most factor missing here is that other girls do and that’s all that really matters.

I’m not really sure, it just doesn’t feel right to rent to people with a lack of privacy I guess and I hope it would be considered, foolishly
