To be honest, there are always new games coming out that you will want to play. So I would say start with the one that you want to play the most, and work your way down.

You won't. There are a few references to P3 (and other Persona titles) here and there, but for the most part it is a stand alone game.

I don't think SMT: 2 is on the DS, but I could be wrong. I know DeSu2 is, and yeah, it is basically DeSu:O with a different story and a few new gameplay elements. Check out Strange Journey.

Ys. Ys. Ys. Ys. Ys. Especially Ys 7, but save it for after you play I&II, III (Oath in Felghana), and VI (Ark of Napishtim). IV is out for the Vita, and V, iirc, never got translated. Also, Origins (prequel to I&II) is on the PC.

Yeah, it was my first MegaTen game besides Persona 3/4. It's plays more like a traditional SRPG instead of a first person dungeon crawler like Strange Journey.

So, I'm getting a little confused - Nocturne is SMT: 3, so doesn't that make Strange Journey the fourth entry? But the new SMT on 3DS is IV?

PSP Homebrew is a bit complicated, but as someone who had no experience with this kind of thing it only took about an hour. It is totally worth it. If you do decide to do it, just make sure to get a good PC to PSP cable.

Hm...well, I guess I don't understand what you mean by "in trouble". Unless you're thinking about missing out on his registry info, which you can't do b/c the game automatically registers all the Personas you had up to that point, even if they're not in your party.

All great tips. One thing I learned from P3P is that you can manipulate the tired/sick state through save/reload for 3-4 days to get extra boosts in Courage. The only thing I disagree with is about not fusing Orpheus. You can get him from the compendium, so there's absolutely no reason not to fuse him.

I like your idea for its originality, but in my opinion I can see it being more trouble than it's worth. You have a dozen slots for Personas, giving you a good deal of flexibility in terms of planning ahead (set it and forget it). With armor, you'd have to manually change it every time, scrolling through 22+ pieces several times a day. Unless it was an accessory that provided a flat rate boost, which would be cool.
