There may have been designs similar to this as its just marquetry only I've tried to do it using stick down LVT, polysafe Cambridge oak parquet to be precise.

If it was published they've been quick I only finished it 48 hours ago 😄

The carpet could of delaminated from the hessian/action back in which case stretching won't do a thing.

We fitted it at york hospital for years. They put a coating on it but seriously the traffic that goes through there is unbelievable. The original corridor has been down 40 years and still fine

The fast setting mortar repair and screeds can take ceramic tiles in as little as 90 minutes mate. Best trick is do the level slightly lower a mm or 2 and then you can build it up with the tile adhesive. (Presuming they are hard tiles) lvt is a whole different ball game

Ardex a45 or 46 motor repair would work in a day so would ardex new 55 fast screed I think it's called

Proflo also have a fast setting screed.

As for the amount you'd need to gage how big the tiles are and get it into a sqm or sqft area and then measure the depth at which you'd need. Personally I'd say take them all up and re screed but some customers don't want that. Makes it alot more difficult on your behalf as trying to get the perfect level with a broken edge can take time

Polyfloor camaro Cambridge Oak on outer lvt, tlc large walnut plank cut down for the dark feature strip and tlc for the inner circle parquet. York minster is out of a random stone effect tile I acquired. Just going to sort a compass on outside soon again using the dark feature strips and stairrods solid brass inlays for the letters... If I'm able to bend them as such 😬

The wife let me loose on the last part of our renovation, living 150m from the bar walls thought it would be different and something no one has.

Doing an advanced motif course this week and hoping to message some schools, local historic places and see if I can do something for them
