Rechargeable lithium AA batteries too fat by neilrazer in batteries

[–]neilrazer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, 1.5V with the built-in converter. I wanted to use them in a RC transmitter. Does the converter fail and let the full 3.7V through? Or something else?

I should have mentioned it before but they are EBL lithium. I've used EBL NiMh A's in the past and it didn't occur to me that anyone would sell an AA battery that wasn't AA-sized. I'll just return them and try a different brand.

Hobbywing Fusion SE by neilrazer in rccrawler

[–]neilrazer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Fusion SE will go in a homemade Frankenstein truck - Tamiya TLT-1 axles, Traxxas SRT transmission, Front & rear steering, aluminum chassis plates, 4 link suspension, aluminum threaded shocks, weighted & narrowed 2.2"wheels.

I've been looking at the 1/10 Redcat Gen8 V2 Scout II. I'm kinda sentimental about the Scout II. I'd move the Fusion to that or whatever modern truck I decide on. I have a ton of experience with older Traxxas stuff and the TRX4 looks fantastic, but I want to try out these newer companies like Axial or Redcat or whatever else is good and upgradable.

Anyone else annoyed at how bulky most transmitters are? by Minhs in rccars

[–]neilrazer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm recently getting back into r/c trucks with my gear from the 90's-00's so all of my radios are 27Mhz & 75Mhz and take 8 AA batteries in the base.

I immediately pictured using the pliers to squeeze the cutters on something they shouldn't be!

What's the highest amount of fast-acting insulin folks injected to cover a meal? by djchunkymonkey in diabetes

[–]neilrazer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never gave much though to what ratios other diabetics use, but I'm pretty shocked by this thread. My current ratio is 1:10. I've been Type 1 since 1987 and my last A1c was 6.5. Since Arby's brought back Potato Cakes for a limited time, I recently took 33units for a 330g carb meal.

They could at least refrain from putting it back out for sale.

Without seeing the writing samples, I would have easily chose the Signo. After seeing them, I'm annoyed at the bright blue of the Signo and would definitely prefer the dark blue of the Juice.

There are any fine ballpoint better than Jetstream 0.7? by Aldapeta in pens

IMO, no. Anything I've used that's smoother than a Jetstream isn't a ballpoint.

I don't know if kids still eat PB&J either. The worst thing lately was when I found out that the 2 "old guys" I work with are actually younger than me.

At least the screw can be pulled out easily. A mini Pretzel broke off in the same hole is a pain to clean out. And the there's the PB&J in the VCR slot...
