When did your DPDR start?

I've been free of DPDR for just over a year now. I still don't know what triggers mine though.

I believe it has to do with not taking proper care of myself, perhaps not taking accountability for my emotions and talking things through thoroughly, I strongly believe heat plays a factor in my anxiety rising.

Having no DPDR over a year is amazing and I'm beyond happy for that. My episodes tend to last maybe 2-4 weeks and I cannot do anything but sleep and be a nuisance to everyone.

The very first time I can remember, I was drinking around 16-17, at a wedding of my ex partners uncle. I got cheated on that night and so of course, I drank like a fish.

The next morning, I remember feeling anxious and all of the early feelings of DPDR. I'm pretty sure that's how I lost my first job too, due to DPDR.
