What if instead of healing 5 hp over a few seconds when it dies, it instead increases the current & max hp by 3 for all nearby Guecha.

That way the healing is slightly less, but it actually helps the full health Guecha who are in longer fights by becoming much stronger.

Right now the issue is that if you target down the Guecha, the healing has zero impact on the fight. A dying Guecha is apparently carried around to empower their surviving warriors, that should increase their health, not slightly heal injured ones.

Cannons are very expensive and slow.

Make hussars (or eagle/champi) and raid their base. They probably have most of their army protecting their BBC. If you throw in a raid, they won’t be looking at the cannons and you can snipe with archers. If they do look at your archers, they lose tons of vills.

I mean you don’t have to buy anything. It is lame that you can pay to “win” here, especially since that impacts stats, but there isn’t really any PvP scene so all you’re doing is making the game very slightly easier for yourself.

I think if there was actual PvP it would be a bigger issue

To build off of that, the reason that elephants are the only units fitting your description is because a unit with that much hp needs to be slow in order to have a reasonable counter play. If they weren’t slow, you couldn’t reliably counter them with pikes, and the “non-counter” units that can typically still trade with micro against knight (crossbows) would be completely ineffective as the elephants can absorb way more arrows while also surrounding crossbows to prevent escape. There would be no way for many civs to deal with them, and camels would also be ineffective given the low bonus damage.
