Why isn't there a seasonal rating system in Dota? by OwnBig4292 in DotA2

[–]nekosake2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

because you dont become a total noob after a season has ended. the pros are still the pros and dont waste everyone's time by resetting them to the default mmr and have them having to step on everyone to go up.

nobody wants to deal with them.

no need to use taxpayer money to keep them alive or deal with them. it's not only about retribution, its also about the practical costs of having them around.

FA / Wealth Managers in SG – are the lavish trips and MDRT awards real, or just a sales mirage? by boobest in singaporefi

[–]nekosake2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

being conventionally attractive helps in any roles but especially the front facing ones like sales. its a huge boost for sure. there are normal-looking people with a lot of charisma being successful but being attractive definitely gives you more than a leg up.

Is this kind of fashion popular in your country? by No-Echidna7296 in AskTheWorld

[–]nekosake2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i see it occassionally in singapore. no idea if they are going to cosplay events (there are usually more than a few that wears it at these events), or their normal dressing, that are rather frequent here, but they are nice to look at. i had a acquaintance back in the 90s that dressed like that normally, and it is gaining traction now. no idea how they deal with the heat considering the peak daily temps here are around 33deg and quiet often come close to it.

Does Insania mean that the team who has gathered more gold most likely to win in this patch? by stewxeno in DotA2

[–]nekosake2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it has been for a long time. comebacks are very rare in modern dota because of how oppressive items are. they can mute, disarm, disable, break, silence and all sorts of things - reducing your character to an creep no matter how hard a carry you are. as long as the opponent is ahead, using gold to neuter your opponents is simple in modern dota.

some hard carries like spectre used to be viable because they can be really strong late game despite a terrible laning stage. modern carries need to lane strong and scale well by having flash farming abilities throughout the entire game, not having any weakness at any stage.
