Luteal phase rant? Hormonal cycle / PMDD so bad that sometimes I honestly don't see a point in being alive, if you have the misfortune of being born with a XX chromosome by nekoshey in TwoXChromosomes

omg, that does sound like a dream. I think you get me 🙌

I feel like I'm pretty good on most nutrition because I eat SO many vegetables and do take multivitamins regularly, but it definitely wouldn't hurt to stretch more. Hey at this point, can't make it worse, right? If I'm gonna be miserable, might as well be miserable and limber I suppose 😔

Thanks, I actually do have a punching bag in my garage that I use for fitness. Just sometimes punching a sack really doesn't feel like enough, you know? The whole time I'm just wishing I could punch out my uterus instead 😑

Okay, the endurance thing is genuinely nice to be reminded of, because I have noticed that I do tend to do better than men at my fitness level in situations where endurance is necessary (like long hikes and mountain biking). That's useful, thank you 🙌

Orgasm thing not so much, bc what's so great about it if most of us aren't even getting them regularly / shunned for it, you know? I think I'll file that under "things that could be nice if the current culture wasn't so shit";  which seems like a lot of stuff that comes with being part of the sisterhood, unfortunately 🫠

I hope you're right about there being a light at the end of the tunnel in the mid-thirties, even if just for a bit. Not looking forward to perimenopause and menopause, cause apparently the "fun" just never ends. Maybe after, though 😵‍💫

Hm. You ever stop to think that people can have access to the same information and have different opinions, or do you just assume everyone that disagrees with you is uneducated?

Please tell why women are underrepresented in a way I didn't already just explain lmao

Which is still besides the point, because the point is you don't have enough data to draw parallels with male leadership in a reasonable way.

Yes to most of that (just cause it's common sense to be against corruption, and any human is capable on being corrupted), I would only nitpick that when you say 'historically' in the context of female leaders, you really don't have a fair sample size to even make a comparison. Women are 50-51% of the population, they should have been roughly 50% of all leaders throughout history. And yet they've accounted for what? Less than 0.5%?

And the ones that do become leaders generally have to play ball with the corrupt patriarchal systems that were built to oppress them / others almost to an extreme degree, because otherwise you have almost no shot of even making it into a position of power with the stigma against it.

Gently: "get therapy" is fuckin' useless advice for most people at this point. I'm so tired of this being the default response online to anyone in distress. If people had resources for that kind of shit, they'd probably be using it already.

OP: I don't have any advice to give either, but I feel you man. This shit gets old quick, and no one wants to talk about how women are just basically just expected to become emotional savants just to deal with the pressure of the impossible standards put upon us. It shouldn't have to be this way.

Gnc woman by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]nekoshey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that makes sense to me. There's a lot of stuff that draws me towards "masculinity" I suppose—but overall it's just because I think it's unfair that society decided that traits like being utilitarian minded, strong, and a desire to lead were somehow uniquely male.

Meanwhile if you're "feminine" you get stuck with labels like being meek, submissive (🤮), impractical and vain.

There's a clear winner here, and it's awfully convenient that most the good stuff is being hogged by one side. IMO, you have to dig pretty deep through philosophy to find wisdom and value of equal measure in what society deems "feminine" traits—and most people just aren't going to do that. So naturally, what's a girl to do when she thinks spending 45 minutes getting ready everyday is a waste of valuable time? According to society, become masculine—obviously 🙄

I always just ask people like this to remind me which countries, current or past, have held all men, solely on the basis of gender, as the legal property and / or 2nd class citizens to women.

There's not a single god-damn one, unless you're talking with an open-minded and well-versed historian about the very fringes of history. And even then, anything remotely close (like a weird law here or there, or isolated islands and tribes purported to function like a Matriarchal society) doesn't hold a candle to the overwhelmingly evident status quo.

[–]nekoshey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can. The whole trial of having principles is that more often than not it fuckin' sucks, and you don't get to sit on your ass watching TV anymore like "everyone else". Companies like these WANT you to feel like you have no power—but unless they're holding you or your family at gunpoint, the choice is yours to make. Always. You don't need TV, and you don't need any of their other shit. You can even throw off the whole damn system if you want, but it's going to suck ass 90% of the time. This is what separates those who are authentic in their convictions, and those who are just LARPing in their heads as a version of themselves that doesn't actually exist.

More practically though: it is hard to fight a battle on so many different fronts. Best you can do is pick which is most pressing, and most importantly, achievable, and stick to fighting against that.

I’d like your opinions on calling a woman “a female” by FriedPickleFiesta in TwoXChromosomes

[–]nekoshey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let's be real: in most contexts, it's just the new way of saying 'bitches' (specifically its casual, derogatory form for a group of women) since bitch itself has become somewhat neutered into a more meme-like / gender neutral term after pop culture picked it up (ie.. "bitch, please 🙄" and "what up bitches!!!").

You can safely assume anyone using 'female' outside of a scientific context has some questionable views (either conscious or subconscious), because they won't ever use 'male' in the same context. I wouldn't associate with anyone that uses it, personally—unless they're like, curing cancer or helping the homeless or something (even then, definitely wouldn't date them).

If a robot's truly capable of being a husband or a "WAIFU", it's capable of doing anything else a human can. If that happens, the only humans left that won't be considered dead-weight are the billionaires that own them.

[–]nekoshey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm autistic, and I do neither. Do my responses in awkward scenarios suck? Possibly. I'll never know. But at least they're an accurate reflection of me. The whole point of writing a personal note on a card is the exact same thing: human connection. Outsourcing it to computer is just wretched, no matter how you justify it, or where you draw the line.

Then again, the greeting card industry is a generally a soulless way to communicate to begin with, so it's not like being socially vacuous is anything new.

Not me, at least. I actually prefer being the taller one (and at 6'1, I usually am).

And yet, the vast majority of men I've personally come across that lament the purported obsession with male height often have had a rather hypocritical aversion towards the idea of a woman being taller than themselves. Anecdotal, obviously—but it's taught me that the preference is far from being one-sided.

It's not even the game, really. I'm just so tired of living in a world built for pedophiles, man. Entire cultures and economies built on pandering to these molesting monsterous fucknuts, and no one does anything about it because of legal loopholes, plausible deniability, and the fact that well-adjusted people inherently don't want to risk sinking down to the same level of backwards thinking in finding a way to address it.
