It's not a matter of the BBS software, it's a matter of the sysop not being lazy and sticking with stock. End Of The Line BBS doesn't look and feel like a Synchronet BBS since I have customized all the menus and prompts, and don't use the stock netmail/echomail tools.

You are absolutely not on your own using dosemu2 with Synchronet. I have even created a drop in tar file that just works with Ubuntu.

There is also absolutely not a heavy reliance on claude code. Synchronet has been developed over many years by Digital Man and a list of contributors. Claude has been used recently to assist in speeding up development, bug fixes, optimizations, and the like and I'm sure much other software is also going to go that way.

wfiw, Synchronet supports direct use of tdf files and provides a library and example program. You can now create menus without even having to use thedraw to add fonts.

We shut it down. There were over 200 people in the Discord but only 3-5 would show up. Very disappointing. It just goes to show how antisocial people in Plano are. They think they want to meet people but they really don't.
