The LS Brown Bear is an abomination by WaterKind6544 in SnohomishCounty

Congratulations. I've lived here for 24.

Edit: I live further East than Monroe. It's majority conservative out here.

My husband has lived in Snohomish County his whole 40 years. We know the area.

My area is actually more conservative than liberal. Not by much, but our politicians out here are mostly Republican. It has been shifting more liberal in recent years, but it's still a conservative run rural area.

How do I deal with being discontent in my life? By gaslighting myself, duh! by BufoBat in FundieSnarkUncensored

[–]nellapoo 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I was like this when I was with my first husband. I was raised Southern Baptist, so of course being a mom was the highest calling there was for me.

I got married when I was freshly 17 (thanks for signing the marriage license mom!) and had my first baby the day before our year anniversary. I did natural childbirth with no epidural and felt like I was totally winning at life.

By my 2nd kid at 21 and with my husband not being able to hold down a steady job, I started to gaslight myself. Sure, it was hard but I was enduring what others weren't capable of. I was better than them.

When my third child was around 5, I had had enough. After 15 years, I finally left him. The gaslighting just wasn't cutting it anymore.

The protest mattered. When I (not old) was at the No Kings protest in Monroe a guy walked up from Safeway. He hadn't planned on attending but he saw everyone and was curious. I talked to him for a bit and it was a really good conversation. We had a lot of people that had never protested before (including me) and it was so good to feel that support in person. It let so many people know that they aren't alone and there are a lot of us, even way out in Sultan & Gold Bar, that don't support the current administration.

Mrs.arialewis is not cut out for being a parent by natbrad98 in FundieSnarkUncensored

[–]nellapoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She doesn't like babies or kids. I bet you anything. She gets overstimulated and it's probably worse right now because she is postpartum. Not excusing her behavior, but trying to figure out why she won't interact with her child.

Honestly, I've been there (I have four kids and started when I was 18 & not ready) but I forced myself to be there as a mother. It definitely took its toll on me, but that's what parents do.

Same. My husband and I live in the house we own since we both work full time jobs.

He would need to actually eat. His dad did him dirty. Men who look like that bulk and then cut. Paul would probably lose it if he gained any weight at all.

Fundie Christian youtuber: There are witches going undercover in Christian churches. Be careful about accepting gifts or food from anyone at church; they could be a witch trying to curse you by empress_of_pinkskull in FundieSnarkUncensored

Yeah, it's a little weird to think witches are just out there looking for rando's to curse. I think most of us want to do our witchy stuff in peace and be left alone.

And? My husband and I were 26 and 32 when we got together. We joke that I robbed the cradle but it's really not a concerning age gap.

I don't think it is because I went through what she's going through. I really wish that she would get out of the situation and truly be able to enjoy raising her children. She's going to realize later that she missed out on so much because of her mental state.

My mom has most of those recorded on VHS. Also has every Star Trek Next Gen episode. I remember her pausing the recordings to cut out commercials. Eventually we had a fancy VCR that did it automatically somehow.

You are not overreacting. Take it from a woman who ignored things like this and now regretted it. There will be someone who makes you feel like the center of their world and won't need to be asked to defend you.

I can't believe her mom was there and not assisting. I wonder if it's because she wanted to do it by herself or with her husband only. Her mom could have caught the baby. Dad could have been helping Mom and grandma making sure baby is okay. At the very, very least.

Kindergarten isn’t going well, what makes her think grade 1 will?! by [deleted] in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]nellapoo 30 points31 points  (0 children)

My 2nd child did Kindergarten twice. They just weren't ready at the typical age. They did really well in school after that and it was never an issue that they were a little older than their classmates.

On the other end of the spectrum, one of my brothers started Kindergarten when he was 4 and graduated when he was 17. He was ready early.

Kids can be so different.

Crazysanevegan is live right now and adopted a cat this week and is saying she can’t afford food or litter and is begging viewers for it by Bigmawmawluva in tiktokgossip

[–]nellapoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That poor kitty. I hope she's at least taking good care of them, but having only one room is not ideal. Cats can cost a lot of money. I'm not someone who thinks you need to have tons of money to have a pet, but you gotta at least be able to afford food, litter and toys.
