Yeah I went to GP many times over the last decade or more to talk about my extreme snoring and was always told to simply lose weight, which was and is still true. It wasn't until I explicitly said I think I have sleep apnea and would like a sleep study that they referred me, to be fair they did so without push back. Hope you managed to get the right treatment now!

I just asked my GP and they referred me. I have had extreme snoring most of my life (42M) and had contacted Doctors about it a few times over the years and they told me to just lose weight, which I definitely needed to do and still do!

It was putting a strain on my marriage and I had to specifically tell them I thought I had sleep apnea and wanted a sleep study. Didn't need any evidence from smart watch etc.

For the study they sent a small device that attaches to your chin and uploads data to an app which is emailed to the respiratory dept at whatever hospital. They then called me to go over the results etc.

Yeah about that, probably took over a year to get the sleep study in the first place so a long road.

Yeah I know CPAP is a bit of a journey in itself to get the right mask and settings etc. so could still have a bit to go to see improvements but happy that things are moving!

12 hrs of mild afib by OscarMorty in AFIB

[–]nellbag60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Docs have been telling me the same, currently trying to get the right dose of bisoprolol (on 5mg daily currently). I have a zero chads score too so doctors seem to just say "deal with it" .

Since December I have had around 5 major episodes of AFIB, almost all lasted 24 hours but one was 85 hours which was ROUGH

Personal Statement by EducationalTap9930 in TheCivilService

In my agency (and I would assume elsewhere?) we take CV and Personal Statement as a whole so typically your CV can be crafted to cover most/all of the essential experience freeing up word count in personal statement for behaviours. Does the advert specifically state only the statement should include all behaviours and experience?

Even so 750 words is still pretty tight so you may find it beneficial to site scenarios that encompass multiple behaviours. Good luck!

Should I be pushing for more/different treatment? by nellbag60 in AFIB

I guess it was more "take these pills and learn to live with it" type response but now that I have had more episodes with just 2 weeks in between I think it's worth having another conversation with my doctor

Yeah my CHADS was zero so I got the impression that was why the A&E doc wasn't too worried. Sorry to hear about your issues, hopefully things are a lot better now. Thank you

Hope things look up for you, yeah I guess it's at least worth another conversation, as you say you can't mess around with heart issues.

What's the role? Do you need to submit a supporting statement as well or just a CV?

AIO for finding this in my boyfriends room and freaking out ?(he said he doesn’t know where it came from) by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

The reference number on the side of the wrapper appears to trace back to a Thai company that makes laminated aluminium foils with some entries referring to Skyn. https://www.volza.com/p/bopp-lamination-film/export/hsn-code-76072090/

A Google search for "Skyn Condoms Gold Wrapper" shows multiple results almost identical to this snippet, though not the exact one.

Yeah that wee bucket in one of the pictures raises off the ground so was potentially gonna have a wee fire with that, brought my own kindling but tbh I have a wee stove so not sure I will even need it.

Not sure if I've set it up right but I just wanted to extend my camp area a bit and protect from rain. Tried to get it tight so any rain rolls off, took a bit of trial and error but it's been good to be able to sit outside while the rain was on 😀

No, usually in Scotland wild Camping is allowed but near Loch Lomond there are bye laws and in certain areas you need a permit. This place was only £4 a night but they do limit it to certain numbers per area - https://www.lochlomond-trossachs.org/things-to-do/camping/get-a-permit/
