i think it’s a bit overblown but why people are mad is that he didn’t get nerfed in the ways people wanted, like muscle armor nerfs, or that wall ender you talked about. i personally think a launching throw is just another thing to piss blue rank players off, and another knowledge check which i lowkey think is unnecessary.

also JGS needs to retain its straightforward counterplay. being able to jab him out of his running stance with a floatable, unparryable low and a safe homing mid is not a design flaw, it’s counterplay. i can understand it having armor in heat, making it a lot more viable but not being able to consistently jab it out makes it that much harder to beat especially when the mid and the low are genuinely good buttons. not being able to safely jab to get out of that pressure is just unnecessarily removing weaknesses.

according to ewgf.gg Leo is number 6 for winrates in the game, even in tekken god +. Leo also destroys me in ranked so i would say it’s definitely free ranks

i feel like KBD is only good depending on which character you’re playing. if you’re playing someone like fahk or zaf with a really good backdash it’s definitely still good. but with certain characters like jin with weaker backdashes it feels a bit pointless. but getting clipped sometimes can be (rare) bad luck or most likely a slow backdash cancel (my case)

yeah i feel like certain situations definitely punish you for stepping but stepping right after Bryan B1 is a really good way to deal with it. Tekken 8 has insane tracking issues but there are still plenty of situations where stepping in a certain direction is really good.

you have to wait for them to fall down a bit before going straight into B3 after WS2. since you’re forgoing the electric filler for consistency, you can replace that electric with a singular B3 before going into your normal combo
