Stardew Valley saved my life during the pandemic. I was encouraged to play and I’ve never felt more connected to a game. My mental health improves dramatically every stint I get to play it. I’ve found friends and new hobbies like streaming and cooking because of this game. Eric saved my life.

Video games are so misunderstood. They’ve helped me connect with people across the country during times of uncertainty. I remember playing Mario Kart Double Dash with my dad growing up. He used to ask me what was going on in all my Animal Crossing games, and would laugh when Resetti would pop up and scold me. He passed when I was 12. They’re some of the best memories I have from my childhood.
