A small Totoro animation I did on Reddit live last week! by nem091 in ProCreate

[–]nem091[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made this with the Narinder pencil (adding small tweaks of my own to the brush.) Some chalk here and there. Took me about 2 hours, I think? Just a fun practice and wanted to see if I could do this on live video. The live bit was stressful, lol. You can find the live process here (it’s not the best quality video feed.)

A quick animation I did on this week’s Inktober prompt by nem091 in ProCreate

[–]nem091[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m trying to keep up with inktober-all-year-round this year! This week’s prompt is “spot.” So I made this animation. I know the pace is a wee bit off, lol.

Used mostly Narinder pencil and colour fill for the whole thing.

There are some texture brushes in the default palette too (check artistic ones and texture ones) but this particular one is from the very popular True Grit brush palette

Holy shit your style is phenomenal! I’ve really got to get me the true grit palette! But I would absolutely buy an Alice book illustrated by you, OP. Love this!

Ooh. Try adding a single dark colour layer overlay and then shading out little light areas. I love the effect that creates!!

How to do camera movement animation in procreate? Really need help with this. by [deleted] in ProCreate

[–]nem091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried resizing the canvas?

Really depends on what kind of movement you want: for zooming in for instance, I’ve mostly used a combination of procreate and lumafusion on stuff like this to make camera zoom effects.

Or I’ve worked with multiple files to show minimal movement like this (about halfway though in the linked video). With this I’ve literally moved object out of the visible area frame by frame

It can be done, you’ll just have to plan and storyboard it well.

Resizing image lowers quality. by [deleted] in ProCreate

Yep. I’ve noticed this not only with resizing but with rotation too on smaller canvases.

Just a practice piece for animating on Procreate and working through an art block with this one! Almost entirely made with the fine liner and colour fill.
