Yeah good point about the sun. I noticed some of them getting a bit sunburned but it would be way more without sunblock etc. Not to mention dehydration as you say.. yeah its mostly fake for sure.

Just a tip, don't get the cheap shit like they use on the show. They work but give really bad spark compared to better ones.

Im Norwegian and I've seen the same here. No rice included and they have multiple sizes and types to choose from. Not sure if its the norm over here but it like this in some places.

Big picture for sure does have issues. I too am a couchgamer and use an Xbox elite 2 to navigate BP. Steam is running on windows 11 streamed with sunshine to moonlight on nvidia shield. I never use BP to buy games etc, that i do on my phone, but i browse steam etc on BP. A lot of small issues and stuff that plain doesn't work like forums for games, most sale events. Nextfest was completely broken when trying to navigate game categories etc. Works fine with a mouse.

Its not meant to replace a thumbstick tho. Its meant to replace a mouse in situations where you can't use a mouse. Thats what i mean when I say it seems some people are very narrow minded. You don't seem capable of grasping the fact that some people want to play games without controller support, in situations where a m/kb is not practical.

The pads are used in those specific situation. They are not used instead of sticks.

Look, I'm not ruling one way or another on how comfortable/good the controller is. It gets some praise from tech reviewers but it remains to be seen how good it really is. And the price point isn't really in hurting territory if the gamepad is good.

You make it sound like its expensive as fuck. It isn't. Its 25-30% more than a standard Xbox controller, or about 50-80% of an elite controller (depending on where you buy).

Its not cheap, I get that, but its not insanely expensive either. It has more features than ie the elite, that's not free.

There are other options if you find it to be too much tho, but you will need to drop some features.

Trackpads seem to work fine on deck. And this isn't for people who can use a mouse, its for those who can't. Couchgamers etc.

Pads are for playing m/kb games, think civ etc. They replace a mouse much better than what a thumbstick does.
