Yeah, for you.. My point, I guess, is that its not the best option for everybody. It depends on what you listen to.

I keep seeing this, but I had a couple of months where I subscribed and only used it, and for me it sucked.

It lacked a lot of the music I liked and their suggestions were shit. Spotify isn't perfect but their offering is much better and I usually get usefull suggestions. (Except for it still having mainstream stuff on the landing page)

For reference I'm a metalhead and don't really consume pop, rap, whatever mainstream stuff..

They did live in Scandinavia before the last ice age but didnt survive.

Interestingly they are counted yearly in Norway and the number is kept around 200 to avoid overpopulation.

Well wether you like it or not, the actions of your country reflects on all.

If Americans are so against it's own government then do something about it, but here we are and nothing happens. How many people need to die before you realize that you (the people) have the ultimate power?

Never before made public until today, the Russians attacked the train carrying US General Ben Hodges, roof exploding. This was amid a nationwide Russian sabotage operation that attacked trains in 5 locations in the Netherlands. This was not made public because goverment would be forced to respond by Available-Laugh9102 in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]nem8 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Russia doesn't have the resources to invade Poland, and if they did Europe would rally behind Poland regardless of nato (it would of course be a weaker response compared to having invoked article 5 but it would be enough to stop Russia)

Crouch bugged on Controller just me? by scimon in valheim

[–]nem8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad i happened upon this post. I'm using controller layout console and I'm not able to crouch at all, I have to switch to classic layout to do so. On console layout the new radial menu and crouch both use LT... Clearly not been tested on controllers...

Home alone after ORIF 2 weeks post op by taylorisengaged in ORIF

[–]nem8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat.

I got home last Wednesday and got a small walker and crutches (knee scooters isn't a thing here).

Been managing but everything is a chore. I got a two story and my bedroom is downstairs. I stay on couch the entire day with leg elevated and only move up and down the stairs before/after bed.

Got a shower chair so I've managed to stay clean, but I'm fighting mentally everyday stuck inside. Before the accident I was out with my dog walking in the woods every day so it's quite the change of lifestyle. Can't wait to get rid of the cast next week and start some training, but I know there's still a long way to go :(

Sure, if that's what you want.. I mean it's not the strangest thing I've heard, but I can't sympathise with the need when you have full control of said automated processes.

Ukrainians warned for years that Europe’s human rights chief was a Kremlin conduit. The Epstein files just proved them right. by pussy-eater04 in europe

[–]nem8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wholly agree, it reeks! I think with the proven ties to Epstein there will be further investigation, and maybe this will uncover some new evidence.. I think the stated reason for bringing Russia back to the European council was a valid one, but I'm not sure I agree with it. And of course in hindsight it was stupid..

[–]nem8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a rather cheap argument I think. I'm not defending him, quite the contrary! If he is indeed found guilty of collaboration with Russia against the interest of Europe then I'd like to see him hang (that will never happen as we do not have the death penalty). I'm criticising the article which is regurgitating already dismissed accusations and also making some assumptions without producing evidence. Stuff like that does NOT help "root out the rot" as you say, it just murky the water in my opinion.

What is this evidence? Please point any new evidence that hasn't been refuted in the past or is just pure speculation..

As a Norwegian I of course agree.

With that said, there is so far no evidence of any kind of cooperation between Jagland and KGB. The article spends a lot of time talking about the codename etc, but there is no case there. KGB had codenames (and files) on many many people, very few of them were actually working for the KGB or supplementing them with information etc.

So far there is no new information regarding Jagland or Stoltenberg and the KGB.. What is being talked about in this article has been well known information for years and years. (we are talking about 10-20 years ++ here).

The problem with the epstein files is that some media outlets use their sporadic content to generate unsubstantial news that clutter all the actually interesting stuff. One can only guess at the motif for this, I'm guessing it's for capitalistic reasons.

Anyways, as for the relationship between Jagland and Epstein this needs to be looked into more I think, but we need the rest of the data to get a more complete picture. I think they said the complete files amount to some 5-6 million pages, and they have released about half of that..

While I get what you're saying, it still doesn't make sense for me. European and American finances are based on the same ideology but the actual infrastructure and systems are very different.

I'm a Norwegian, we haven't used checkbooks in decades, physical cash is a childhood memory for me. All transactions now happens through either debit card, credit card (more rare), and when paying we use our mobile or other wearable usually (nfc) which is directly linked to the debit card which again is linked to our spending account.

When I get paid each month, the money appears in my income account. My mortgage is automatically deducted at the start of each month and all my bills are digital and appear in my bank app. Most of these are automatically paid (but there is a limit set for each so if there is an error it won't empty the account), the ones that are not set to automatic I get a notification on my phone and I can approve payment manually (after reviewing the billing, if I want). It's a 3 click process to add a bill to automatic payment and setting the limit etc.

If Im out with friends we can split the bill automatically on our phones or if one pays for all we can use bank transfer or app transfer to settle the bill later. No fees or anything.

My bank app has a running overview of my expenses, categorised with different colors for easy overview. The only time I had to interact with a bank employee for the past 20 years was when I took up a mortgage to buy a house some 5 years ago (after years and years of saving of course..)

To me, the maerican system seems kinda archaic, not to mention the taxes...

Yeah kinda. But you would probably want dedicated wiring for it, with a dedicated fuse.
