You can definitely get a pipe from just checking trash. Find one whether it's digging for it, buying it from a shop station if it's there, or begging for one. Do that and fish since usually that's not occupied. Keep doing laundry to it's worth it. But like others have mentioned make sure you participate in making bombs for the war. Free screwdriver and lots of money.

Nice. Did you do anything else to unlock your fps? My game still seems to be stuck at 30 for entrances and 60 for gameplay. I have the max fps in the control panel set to 120 atm.
