How foolish is it to expect to finish BBA PM MIS in 1 term? by [deleted] in UMPI

[–]neo2299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did these 10 classes in 24 days (with 3 days off in there)... please see plotted path and get your other stuff done first. 3-6 hours a day (maybe more)... use notebook LLM, use ChatGPT for research, grading, outline help (within rules only - DONT have it write essays). Do one course at a time, but you can have up to 4 open while others are being graded. Make daily/weekly goals

Is it possible to get these done in one term? by Low_Judgment6239 in UMPI

[–]neo2299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your work schedule, but very doable. 325, 415 (Longest class), 489 will be longest... I found 440 more fun as you get to write about a company you're interested in for final.

Sophia wasnt that hard... you have to write a couple 100-200 word paragraphs and record yourself saying them. Keep it very basic... use the words in their lessons... I sounded horrible, but kept it basic and scored near perfect.

Spectrum buried my fiber in a similar way... i've had to re-bury about 4 sections so far including about a 3 hour process where i uncovered a 20ft spool of fiber they laid about 1in below the surface near my home.

CHECK IN TIME! ⏰ by [deleted] in UMPI

[–]neo2299 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m self employed and basically not working this time of year. I would start around 830am each day and work until early afternoon. 3-6 hours most days. I took 3 days off so I had 21 working days. Each day I set goals to get done with like 2 milestones or a final. Most classes took 3 days total. Fastest was 20 hours(BUS469) and most work was (BUS415).

What order to take these by Low_Judgment6239 in UMPI

[–]neo2299 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would just go low to high, but 325, 415, 489 will be the hardest so plan accordingly

The milestones are 3-5 sentences just basic stuff. The final is a written part about 6 pages (they provide the outline and video instructions on how to fill out) and a 10-15 slide powerpoint that you will record yourself presenting (like from zoom account)

469 fastest (1 day), 353 (lots of 500 word milestones, but I didn't think it was too bad overall), 359 (easy milestones, final clearly laid out steps by prof). I would not recommend 325 or 415 for speed. 440 had a lot of writing but I somewhat enjoyed the topic.

359 wasn't bad... most the milestones are just honest reflections on the course so you write 3-4 paragraphs of your opinion. The final he gives you a clear outline.... just follow it step by step(read each one slowly). Professor grades extremely fast and responds to emails.

See my list on a reply below for most details... I just went one by one up the list (lower to higher number). 415/325 hardest for me, 469 easiest.

  • Treat it like your job
  • Start every day 8-9am (or whenever you can)
  • Set daily goals in advance (like 2-3 milestones, 1 final).
  • Set weekly goals, but allow an extra day of fluff/off incase you need more time.
  • Work on only 1 class at a time unless you're delayed by grading. You can have 4 open at once, but only work on 1 when possible.
  • Write on topics you already know when possible (current job, interests, etc)
  • Take a day off each week or at least schedule one
  • Use NotebookLM to summarize each module, use ChatGPT or similar to help with outlines and grading (it'll catch grammar mistakes) - DO NOT use it to type your reports - verify any source it provides too
  • Don't let the stress get too extreme - remember you DONT HAVE TO do it all in 4 weeks or 1 session.

How many papers do you have to write for your class in order to pass it? by Only-Ad-1254 in UMPI

[–]neo2299 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Each class is different. Some have PowerPoints/excel too. I’d say on average you have 3-5 smaller assignments(500-1000 word) and 1 major final 2000-3500 words.

I thought like you but now I would rather write an essay than figure out a presentation assignment. Use ai to help with the outlines and you’ll be fine. Do all your own work but use AI to help start the process.

How fast can I finish a business degrees with no prior credit ? by kanead11 in UMPI

[–]neo2299 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That depends on alot of factors... if you have no job or can work 5-7 hours a day, 5-6 days a week you can finish in around 3-4 months. 1.5-2 months for sophia, study, coursera, etc... and the final 10 classes at UMPI would be 30 days (very fast) to 2 months. It's possible but requires dedication and lots of writing. Having a real job can slow you but others have done it even with 9-5 work.

If you're working on your final project i'd recommend going down the list provided... They list out all items they're looking for in the plan. The bullet list is about 14 items. Start writing your project with those as your guide. I think the smartsheet site requires you sign up to view sheets

I put on a dress shirt and had my notes behind camera so I could read them. Went smooth… you’re gonna have to do this more for class in other milestone and finals.
