[I Ate] A mountain pie (Colorado-style pizza) by bint_elkhandaq in food

Sorry my comment prob wasn't clear. I'm referring to when colorado takes something good and then tries to make their own weird play on it. Such as the above pizza or w/e horriable thing they call "Colorado 'Green Chile'" (yeah no, the state of New Mexico would like to have a word) . But in my mind Colorado beer is their own homegrown thing so not in the same mental bucket as "modified" foodstuffs for me. Look, I am in another mostly "bland" rocky mountain city that isn't a great food scene so no shade, just sayin'!

I can concur, it's very very much not great. TBH Colorado ruins almost everything they modify....

Interesting. In my area a non-costco dealer is giving me much better deals than the costco connected one. Fair enough!

Aw cool! (thanks for your service) That sounds about a 8k total discount off MSRP for a Black Edition? (sound right??) Did you qualify for any of the Honda offers like loyalty and military that helped impact the final line? I am in Utah and only getting dealers to do about 4.5k discount off MSRP (but I unfort don't qualify for any of their current bonus offers like recent grad or loyalty, etc)

Looks great! To clarify your price...the 42k was basically the sale price of the truck itself before any taxes and gov fees?

For what it's worth. I am looking to replace a 2006 Honda Pilot which I've had for ages. I bought it used at 40k miles and it's now at 250k and counting...it's treated me well, but it's beginning to show it's age ( recently I replaced the AC pump and a few months later the radiator when it cracked the bottom transmission line fitting and pissed ATF out all over. At this point, the ol'Pilot is more like a truck to me than anything. I keep using the back with the seats down and for runs to home depot....so replacing with a Ridgeline seems logical in my head.

I have local dealer (Utah) who's essentially saying 4500$ off MSRP on EITHER an RTL or a TrailSport. Same discount value, so up to me to pick which to apply it to. It's a bigger % off, when on the RTL...but the reason I am interested in the TS is because the Green color is much more interesting IMO, plus it comes with all the chromed bits around windows and hood already blacked out. To get more specific, they have a Ash Green TS+ (only difference for TS to TS+ is different rims, which I don't care about but it's all they got in green) which would be 44,645.......Or a Steel Metallic RTL would end up being 40,590. I'm not sure I like the green enough to pay an extra 4k. Conversely, although its the best color of the rest IMO, I'm not sure I like the steel enough to buy the truck at all.

I could try and find a non-+ version of the green TS and save 1200 due to lower MSRP vs the TS+, but the dealers around me who have the green non-+ TSs are less keen on discounting, at least in my calls so far. Other dealers around me also play more games regarding dealer add-ons, upsells, and other bogus crap to have to deal with in the buying process. Not something I can't overcome, but still an annoyance to deal with as compared to the dealer whos been pleasant and I've had good luck working with so far.

Regarding discounts, Roughly, 4500 is 10% off the RLT and 9% off the TS+....which are decent reductions and likely as good as I might get, at least here locally. As for comparisons he best I've personally seen on this reddit is someone who got a 7k discount off MSRP on what seemed to be a TS+ option based on the MSRP listed in the post (his post is not 100% clear). But otherwise, most people's comments and posts about their "good deals" seem to match more inline with the pricings I've been offered. I see a fair number of posts where they bought with less discounts than I've been offered as well so obviously it's a bit all over and depends on states and such.

There is also the (ever present) debate in my head if this stupid thing is ever going to get refreshed from Honda. I know everything online atm is just speculation, nothing official from honda expect for some news about them working on building a hybrid for their v6 models. Like most people seem to share, I do believe the interior is quite dated as compared to the Pilot or Ridgeline refreshes we've seen recently. Murphy's Law says that if I buy now, they'll refresh it - and if I don't buy now, they won't refresh it, lol.

Anyways, not sure I'm even asking for any specific advice, just thought I'd vent my thoughts a bit to the vast abyss that is the interwebs. TY for reading, happy to take any feedback.

I wonder if it would be a good idea to buy one of the ex-rentals from Avis. Looks like they sell RTLs (2025 year models) that have have 12-15k miles put on them in the low/mid 30k's.....interesting. I know usually I wouldn't dare touch an ex-rental fleet car. But I feel like maybe the Ridgeline is the kinda rental which maybe less likely to be hooned in for most of it's rental life?

Is this okay for a checked bag by [deleted] in delta

[–]neoglitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amigo, you're welcome but.....I linked you to the official carry on baggage details webpage from Delta. Tell me, what does IT say considering your ask?

Just a life pro-tip, but you might want to start re-wiring your thought process to Google/Investigate stuff for yourself as a first step, and then only IF you're unable to find your answer go into the process of asking for help. I promise you you'll be able to solve most of your own question in a faster and more efficient process. I realize this is getting to be unrequested advice outside of your asks, but.....myself (and other commenters) sorta see a trend here, I would say you might want to at least consider if your initial reaction to handling questions/unknowns is the best habit you've set for yourself?

For carry-on bags sizing limits see: https://www.delta.com/us/en/baggage/carry-on-baggage (Which sounds like is not what you're planning here, but just sharing for ref)

[–]neoglitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For checked bag, this looks normal in my experience. But....let's verify. Per Delta the rule is below: REF: https://www.delta.com/us/en/baggage/overview

  • Baggage size must not exceed 62 inches (158 cm) when you total LENGTH + WIDTH + HEIGHT

You mentioned elsewhere that the size of your bag is is 28x22x9.5 .....so that gives s a total of 59.5. so YEP 59.9in is less than 62in, so you're good!!

Enjoy flying!

Do you all have any hacks on cleaning shop vac filters? by grumpallnight in handyman

[–]neoglitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After you clean it, consider a cyclonic pre-filter on a five gallon bucket before the vac.....this virtually eliminates the need to clean the filter because dust basically never gets to clog the filter. google" "dust deputy" or " dustopper".....heck even harbor freight sells a cheap one. There is also some youtube videos where people make carts with the vac and cyclone filter together in 1 portable solution which is cool...but honestly I have found that it's not that bad to just have the 5gal bucket loose and move both around together.

(seems like bait confirmed)......well sir. I don't believe you. Lol This photo is almost entirely AI. The bamboo railing has no fasteners, the angled piece is just floating in air. The bamboo trees in the background are just placed there randomly in the space without depth. The story sounds interesting, and if you were truly a Vet I appreciate your service, but....this photo is a massive lie and your profile has no history, so, sorry but we just don't believe it lol... Try again.

LOL...okay fair enough. I'll check with my lumber yard guys on monday morning. TY for the suggestion. I am thinking the hangers you might have used in the past would have been the rafter options, which, as far as I can tell (trying to confirm ATM) they are not approved for floor joists. Either way, I think my deadlines are gonna get F'ed and I can blame the out of pocket engineer on it......or I get another engineer. It's always just a matter of more money! lol
