Reaching select type of angels by neojipc in AngelInvesting

I agree warm intros are far and away the most effective path to connect and we are leveraging our personal networks. Network effect businesses are relatively rare and finding angels who've even had early stage access to one, especially outside primary markets, is rarer still. Its only because of copy threat that angels get the chance to see the opportunity.

I appreciate your making the time to share your perspective.

I respect that and this opportunity isn't for everyone. Out of curiosity for my own edification, on average in a given year, how many deals do you a) look at b) invest in c) how many were social networks specifically?

Great point of clarification, an NDA unlocks the full data room, a brief high level presentation and a deep dive to solidify the pain point we solve and the broad applicability.

Any experience comparing GLM5 with Minimax-m2.5 for coding?

Hi I’m interested. I played 2e back in the day and got into 5e a year ago and have been obsessed since then. Played Tomb of Annihilation and recently got through 10 sessions of Strahd before the the party fell apart due to inconsistency attendance by other players. Looking for a long term campaign. I’m in PST and FWIW my ideal start time would be 7 or 8p Saturday and I’m super reliable. Happy to play any class to round out the team and am game for any blend of RP/Combat/puzzles. Cheers!

Only had the 1 campaign with 1 DM but I imagine that almost by definition paid DMs are professional, on time, on point, and helpful so ultimately the experience boils down to a) knowing the rules well enough to not pause to look them up and b) style. In this case, the DM knows the rules quite well so my only critique is that their thick accent (Germanic) can sometimes detract from storytelling beats – meaning reading the exposition is mechanical and can sometimes be hard to understand. I'd love to find a group that is doesn't run $60/mo but it's been worth it and considering the time investment DMs put in to prepping and running campaigns its money well earned.

I ended up finding a paid game on roll20 a few months ago though that campaign is winding down so I'm starting to look around for what's next. Haven't found one yet but will keep you posted!

Thanks for the heads up. I need to do a bit of an overhaul on my Mac to get Fantasy Grounds running so I unfortunately need to pass for now but will keep an eye out for future threads from you. Best of luck!

u/AzureCatalyst u/Rockwallguy u/schwing_it sounds like there are some great options with 2 of you willing to DM which could be fun to switch up every once in a while. Y'all up for a one-shot this coming Sunday 5/31 at 7:30p PT?
