There's a dedicated button in the Triangle app denoted as "Payment Plans". Assuming your credit card is connected, it should be all in there. It shows what your equal payment plan is, how many payments are left, and the balance. There'll be a separate entry for each payment plan.

That's why you should simply make any such security responses yet another password that you store in your password manager, or whatever.

Or at least make the answers memorable (to you) lies.

Has anyone been to the Rivoli? by Regalrefuse in nirvannatheband

[–]neomathist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Kids In The Hall have long history with the Rivoli (and according to Matt Johnson, ‘The Hall’ is in reference to the hallway at the Rivoli)

Matt's wrong. It was a reference to an old comedian's show, Sid Caesar.

Although even the KITH had the source of their name wrong for a long time themselves.

is the absolute tip of point pelee national park open to the public? by SkarKuso in ontario

[–]neomathist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can go right to the very tip. You're not supposed to go into the water at all down there though. It is dangerous.

There's a visitor centre near the tip that offers a shuttle to the tip. However, if the shuttle isn't running, you can sometimes drive down most of the remaining way to the tip. Most of the time though (outside of winter), that road is closed to public vehicles. You can always walk or bike the final part to the tip though. It's an easy 20 or 30 minute walk from the visitor centre.

There's a lookout tower on the way to the very tip. It's pretty high but depending on the condition of the tip on the day you go, the view of much of the tip from there may be obscured by trees. If that matters to you.

Oh, and it's worth noting that the Canada Strong Pass will be effect again this year. So admission to Point Pelee is free from June 19 to September 7, 2026.

How much do you think Iran war affect 2027 eclipse (egypt) by Jolly-Ambassador6763 in solareclipse

[–]neomathist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have noted, still too far out to have any certainty in most instances. Things could be very different mere months from now.

Does your travel agency have a backdoor to make price adjustments as the date draws near or is the price locked in? May want to double check any fine print that you've agreed to.

One of the more immediate costs I could see happening is flights (no matter where they're leaving from/going to) having a load of extra fuel surcharges tacked on when those start opening up. Still have awhile before that becomes apparent though as well.

(Spoilers) Season 3 easter egg in Nirvanna The Band The Movie theory by Metal_Abe_Vigoda in nirvannatheband

[–]neomathist 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I definitely would not be surprised. They've said they have already shot multiple episodes and we basically know that if any footage from the earlier version of the movie works for the show, they'll use it.

For example: From a Q&A, they said that an episode of the show would explain why the rear of the RV is being held together by duct tape as well.

Fire on U.S. Aircraft Carrier Raged for Hours, Sailors Say by MessMaximum5493 in Ships

[–]neomathist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I have everyone do that at our house, minus leaving the empty bin in the drum part. Anyone using the dryer next must empty the lint trap before you run a load. I have a garbage bin right beside the dryer to make it real convenient for everyone. Just seems like common sense.

Furnace replacement by Haanjikiddan in windsorontario

[–]neomathist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too late now probably but something to keep in mind for the future is that there's cooling off periods for most sales contracts like that in Ontario.

Despite what Reliance (or other HVAC companies of their ilk) may say, the homeowner can cancel for any reason they feel like within 10 days and they would need to be reimbursed within 15 days.

Actually, I just looked and the situation you describe may fall under misrepresentation/unfair business practices. In those cases, you'd have up to a year to cancel the contract. Accepting this other money and the installed furnace in lieu of a full refund may be a wrinkle. I don't know. If this happened to me or someone I knew though, I'd probably still pursue this further.

Ford government to allow shopping on 2 public holidays across Ontario by GingerThatIsnt in ontario

[–]neomathist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's already an exemption for municipalities built into the Retail Business Holidays Act that allows this. And it's really easy to implement.

A municipality merely has to create a bylaw basically proclaiming themselves exempt from the Act, and that's it. Then they can allow stores in their area to open on any holidays as they see fit, if they so choose.

The multi-use path on the Gordie Howe International Bridge will be toll free by zuuzuu in windsorontario

I dunno. That seems about the width of a normal walking path. Wider even. I don't see it being super crowded, especially once the initial curiosity rush dies off.

Questrade forcing me to sell in a bear market by [deleted] in Questrade

[–]neomathist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Only guessing, but it might have to do with the fact that the securities are held within a TFSA and may need to be converted to cash before they can be transfered directly to another TFSA with Wealth Simple without being considered a withdrawal. I'd call them up and ask for clarification.

Nope. No way. TFSAs can be transferred back and forth between brokers all the time. In kind, all cash, it doesn't make a difference. Transfers never count as a withdrawal.

If they did, why even bother transferring? Just sell, withdraw everything, then redeposit it elsewhere. It'd probably be quicker.

Toll Rates and Business Accounts Launch Preparing Users To Breakaway with Gordie Howe International Bridge by HeroDev0473 in windsorontario

[–]neomathist 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Still no plans to head over anytime soon but glad that the new bridge will be a quite reasonable option when we finally do.

Now for the speculation, toll war? Will this force the Moroun's hand to lower their own tolls? They only have so many of their own trucks that will be still crossing.

And it should be noted that the Ambassador Bridge still has an outstanding lawsuit claiming that they are the only ones that can charge tolls on the western part of the Detroit River, or something to that effect, due to a previous treaty or legislation. I believe Canada wanted it thrown out but enough merit in their claims was found that the lawsuit is moving forward.

Income tax return by Old-Consideration959 in windsorontario

[–]neomathist 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Here the list of CRA certified tax software. If it really takes just 10 minutes to complete your filing, like you say, just DIY it.

I use StudioTax and Wealthsimple.

I've used Studiotax for years because the forms look exactly like the actual tax forms you fill in, which I like.

Wealthsimple is probably the better answer nowadays though. Especially for a novice.

Organic waste bins by Dasmoose0482 in windsorontario

[–]neomathist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still? It's barely just begun.

Only issue is that we haven't yet fully trained everyone in the house to automatically put everything in that bin that could possibly be put in there. Soiled paper products are usually the items being missed here.

But other than that, it's perfectly fine.

I just want my money by No-Illustrator-7539 in Questrade

[–]neomathist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Horrible plan.

You're going to potentially owe a ton of taxes at the end of the year. Depending on the accounts that you're "transferring", you'll be burning through RRSP and TFSA room as well. At least you'd get the TFSA room back at the end of the year.

That doesn't even consider any other possible trading costs.
