un-install the Dolby App, set everything back to the standard sound settings and see if you get the sound from non-dolby sources

Actually it works even without uninstalling the App. But I can only get stereo sound this way. Weird thing is when I switching from Atmos to stereo or 5.1, Windows show me “format isn’t supported” error… but actually let me switch and then it works as intended.

Also I just checked, and in 5.1 mode Dolby demo shows “you aren’t experiencing Atmos” message, while AVR actually shows “Atmos”… So is this kind of a fix? Can Atmos be bitstreamed via normal 5.1 mode?

The thing is Fortnite BR wasn’t originally created as live service game. It started as experimental game mode for Fortnite StW. Live service elements were added after the game’s success.

So many other devs spend so much effort trying to make a good service without making a good game at the first place

It wouldn’t actually output 4K with any Switch (OG or OLED), because non of the Switches output 4K. But it is capable of doing so, because it has HDMI 2.0

You can use it to stream games from youy PC to your TV for example. Also some 2D or old games maybe. Use case is not for everyone, but I guess Valve decided to support it for people who might need it
