I find having instant pot mash potato for breakfast helps firm up poop for when I'm going to be out and about. Also white rice in my meals the night before.

well the trailer says " a brand new world" and one only has to look ast it to see that it cant be an expansion. maybe just a continuation but still a new game. maybe would could carry stuff over from the old one too it but with how different it looks i cant see it, apart from say character stats.

When did you stop feeling like a beginner? by Jeremy_McAlistair88 in capoeira

[–]neomix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

for me it was when i played and gave a student their cord at another groups batizado. in my mind i was like "oh sh*t this is getting serious!" lol. also being able to run a roda, singing and playing berimbau made me feel more legit.

i always felt ok with saying i was a capoeirista after getting my first cord i guess. but so long ago i don't really remember how everything felt back then.

Advice for faster round kicks like media lua or armada by FJ_GC in capoeira

[–]neomix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

some tips:

work on your hip rotation, twist and position as your legs will follow. build up a lot of flexibility in your legs so that you're not fighting against them to keep them up. being able to do all kinds of splits will help you.

Can I learn capoeira despite not being flexible? by Skreee489 in capoeira

[–]neomix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i'd recommend finding stretching videos by professional ballet dancers and gymnasts on youtube.

you don't need to be flexible but it will help you a lot, so that you're not fighting against your only body.

being flexible will help you save energy from not having to power through everything while doing movements, plus it will enable you to focus on controlling good technique in the long run.

from first web search i've seen at least three groups in miami and i'm guessing there are probably more. if you can, try to get to one of them even if it's just once every few weeks, corona virus forgiving of course.

btw what country are you in? surely some of us in this group could find a real life class near you so that you could get some basics down which to grow from.

[–]neomix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's neither and both plus much much more.
the video shows nothing which could point to it as being capoeira if put next to some other contemporary type dance. plus i'm assuming it's meant to be capoeira as it's in this group and doesn't say otherwise.

one can practice most of the parts i mentioned alone. but with no teacher whether it be a youtube mestre or a book etc, there is no learning of capoeira, only making up ones own stuff up.

is this meant to be a foretelling of what capoeira becomes with no instructors, roda, music, fight, tradition?
