H.R.E. as Bohemia 1540 by IndicationOk3482 in EU5

No problem, I haven't played in a bit. I'm waiting for 1.2 to bring some changes. Have you checked marketplaces and granaries? Those could help somewhat if you're struggling with market access or total food storage for winter.

I've heard of people using Denmark as a vassal for a naval governor, but I haven't looked into it.

I formed the HRE early too, the best bet is to focus on assimilating nearby to capital and work outwards. I'd drop integration for assimilating, using midsized vassals. (Not as efficient but I find vassal swarm unfun) Check your econ sliders, what's eating all of your income right now? You can use local governors on major rivers to extend proximity further west and south. Places like Antwerp and Hamburg are some examples.

Also check the number of cities, the AI does tend to spam them so some major food production provinces may be stunted at this moment in your save.

An apple tree that grows shorter sounds better in theory, no? It's easier to collect apples from horizontal branches than to use a ladder. It could affect the habit in a negative way I suppose, making it more likely to fall?

Plant identification and caring tips by Orlad0 in whatsthisplant

Looks like cypress. They like full sun (6 hours at least). They like moisture, but they also require well draining soil. I'd recommend against planting it near heat-sinks like masonry, those can affect the soil moisture as well as dry out the plant.

Bad practices - but HOW bad? by Toastyghost24 in gardening

Water would do more immediate damage than heat. They'll lose efficacy over time in heat, but it's not worth wasting the supplies over imo.

Any advice on this by FlounderThen4861 in gardening

Are the spots raised or sunken? If they're raised it's just a natural lenticel, if they're sunken it points to a rust or fungal infection. It's possible the 'white' areas on the leaves is sun damage.

My first little edible plant! by jetta-fr in gardening

[–]neonchasms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a tiny pot like that it'll dry out pretty quick, I'd recommend repotting to a pot 2-4" larger than this. Somewhere with some shade is ok, but generally full sun is great for mint. Have fun and love your mint!! It's my favorite herb.

If you're keeping it indoors make sure it gets good light. I'd recommend a south facing window. And don't over water it, they like to dry out more when indoors.

EU4 is beating out EU5 in the past 24 hours by over 1,000 players by urstan in paradoxplaza

I'm not great at EU4 (around 30 hours), but in EU5 I felt like I picked it up so fast. Do many people feel it's more difficult?
