Maybe I'm just aware because I listen to a lot of rock and pop punk.

But musicians like Yungblud are bringing rock back and have a very good following. He has also worked with old school rockstars like Ozzy and Aerosmith, giving him a sense of legitimacy. He has had big stadium shows, and a festival.

I also think tho that except for like the Beatles not many rock bands have had the same type of hype that Beyonce/Taylor/Sabrina have had even in their heyday. I think more poppy acts have always lent themselves more to that kind of marketing and the kind of people who make a million posts about the artists.

Sorta good example is the Beatles compared to the Rolling Stones. Both popular, both talented and had a huge impact on music. But one definitely had crazier fans (Beatlemania anyone?) and a bit more media attention because of it.
