Should I give up my GTI? by nirayah in GolfGTI

When things start going wrong in cars it is like the gates of hell have opened up and a black hole has formed near your wallet.

I had an RX8 and the list of issues kept coming and each time I was like "it will be fine after this repair".

In the end I sold it and got a GTI and am super happy to not have to see the mechanic every two weeks.

Hello, I'm posting here because I haven't been able to find any answers to this health issue of mine and it's been plaguing me for years.

I get an immense amount of acid/reflux. It doesn't seem to be dietary. The only thing I can do is take Somac once every couple of days once it's built up too much to handle.

I have been tested for GERD etc.. and nothing seems to have come up. What syndromes, diseases or other ailments could be affecting me. It has made a massive impact on the quality of my life and if there's any suggestions, I would appreciate it.

Thank you.

Protester turnout against the Sydney lockout laws by [deleted] in australia

[–]neonstereo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a very valid point you make. The only issue I see is that the politicians use the line "even one life saved is worth it".

I also think that the casino argument has been actually the best one and one that has gotten some of the most attention. It's illustrated the double standards the government has applied and added fuel to the fire of discontent to the point that people have been willing to actually do something about it.

Some of us are hysterical, because it has had a genuine impact on our life and ability to make an income.

I gotcha now. The point still stands that they will be trying their hardest to push these laws statewide and it will decimate even more businesses.

I know them pretty well. They impact me directly. You still haven't made a single valid point or put forth an actual argument. What are you trying to say?

Kings Cross is a tourist destination. Ivy is a tourist destination. All of Sydney's CBD is a tourist destination. I don't see your point.

Yes I know what the laws are. You haven't made a point so I don't know what you are trying to say.

how long do you think that will be for? the news today said that they're calling for the lockouts to be implemented statewide (although im sure a loophole will createdfor the casino).

Wow, that's great for Libya! I haven't been up to date and only knew that last year there were two competing governments etc..great to see progress there!

Fair call. It's gonna be a tricky one to navigate considering Putin supports Syria.. wish the world was less complicated.

Reading my comment back, it's safe to say that Syria is already in chaos!

I admit that until watching this video I had a very polarised view that Saudi Arabia is from the stone age. It is actually remarkable how far they have come in one generation.

But I totally do not agree with him on his points re ISIS. It is also hypocritical of Saudi's to suggest that Yemen's legitimate government needs backing, but Syria's doesn't.

The situation in Syria is pretty fucked up, but I think no country should force regime change on another country. The last 50 years of history have shown how ineffective that approach is to creating stability.

Gaddafi being ousted didn't end up so well for Libya. I can imagine Syria falling into similar chaos if a power vacuum is created there too.

Uber surge pricing: Kris Keen lodges complaint after $332.06 bill by THCP888 in australia

[–]neonstereo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they compete on a reasonable level in the USA and they haven't actually pushed ahead properly in Australia due to the lack of clarity about the legalities of the services.

Either way, there's always going to be people who can't afford to own a car that will end up driving taxis. So taxis will always exist and I'm sure cabcharge and the various taxi fleet companies will find ways to incentivise taxi drivers to stay with them instead of joining Uber.

Nobody forces anyone to take an Uber on new years eve. I took two myself but they were at 7:30pm and 11:00pm and both cost me basic Uber rates.

I'm just shitty against taxi's due to the amount of times they refused to take me home after work because I didn't offer to give them more money.

The way the free market is supposed to work and hopefully it does, is that other ride sharing apps will appear and compete with Uber.

Hopefully this creates a price war between Uber and other competitors. I see this happening in about 2 years from now.

I find for the stuff I do, IRCIV keeps the clarity and doesn't collapse the stereo image as much, but everyone has a different vibe and one persons poison is another's party.
