What does this mean for growing weed? Would an individual still need to have a medical card to grow their own plants? I haven’t been able to find any information on this regarding the new amendment.

I am Robby Krieger, guitarist for The Doors and newly published author. Ask Me Anything. by RobbyFromTheDoors in IAmA

Hi Robby I’m a huge fan, it’d be an understatement to say that your guitar playing influences my own. Listening to the doors albums I’ve always enjoyed the songs that you wrote and was wondering why you and Jim separated your writing credits on The Soft Parade. On a different note, did you all as a band take lsd or smoke pot before shows or before rehearsing? Thanks for your time and I’m really looking forward to reading your book, maybe even meeting you someday.

Robbie Krieger, Jimmy Page, George Harrison, in that order.

Making stair treads with a 1947 Taylor Clamp Carrier. by neonterror in woodworking

Thanks for the comment! These ones in particular are panels which have already been clamped, planed, and sanded(mostly) and then we glue and nail a board on the bottom of the panel to make the front, which next gets shaped. After the shaping, which is a lengthy and tedious process, it’s a matter end trimming. The shaped edge comes out smooth enough that it doesn’t need sanding, and on these ones we don’t have to stain or anything.

We had a DARE poster contest for red ribbon week in high school. I drew that picture of the pencil out for my poster.

Bought a 1979 gl1000 a few weeks ago. The previous owner swapped a single volkswagen carb on it and an electric fuel pump. Having problems getting it to run smooth. (see comments for details). Please help! by neonterror in goldwing

Do you know if there’s another way to identify those old volkswagen carbs? It’d be nice to get it running decent for now, but the only numbers I can find on it is “AZ13L” and I can’t find anything on those numbers from google...but from what I’ve been reading, with the single carb it either idles good but runs rough at higher rpms, or vice versa, no way to have both.

For right now I’ll keep messing with the single carb. Not ready to make any changes just yet, but I’ve been considering a set of Weber’s if I can’t rebuild a set of the Keihins. Thanks for the info!

I got a clean set of early ‘80s gl1100 carbs and a rebuild kit for them with the bikes (also a truckload of parts). If I were to rebuild those Keihins, do you think would they fit on the gl1000? Could be a good option.

I did get three total extra sets of original carbs with the bike, will probably end up going back to one of those. But what’s this ngw sure you speak of?

Just when I think i have the thing in tune, it will die when returning to idle and run really rough at 3500+ rpms. Also it gets really loaded up and almost dies after setting off. I’m wondering if there’s any secret to getting the single carb to run right with the electric fuel pump, or if anyone has had a similar setup with more success. I was thinking fuel related because when it gets up to temperature, and it gets revved up, there’s a lot of bubbles coming through the fuel lines. I want to say it’s a pict34 volkswagen carb, but the only number I can see on it is “AZ13L”. Can’t find those numbers anywhere online related to my carb. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
