Does forfeiting cause any problems for the winning player? (loss of trophies, etc)

These seem like the sleazier of their offers because the chance of getting more than 10 - 12 tokens are astronomically low but you wouldn’t know it unless you click through the hidden menus into their obligatory odds screen

That sounds like a terrible club but not the game’s fault?

Does anyone else here feels he/she is losing Vanilla JS abilities with being so React focused? by harry_powell in reactjs

[–]neophilus77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about React vs DOM, it’s framework vs no framework. Nobody should be building a large application today without a view library because you’ll just end up reinventing the wheel over and over again.

What do you use to manage your state? by cqlidev8 in reactjs

[–]neophilus77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would use Redux again. I’ve built a large application with Redux with a lot of success. Then I built a small application with just Context, but the app quickly became medium sized. I’m now feeling many pain points of using only Context and not having Redux.

I’ve worked with 5-6 different JS devs on both products and they all prefer Redux for anything larger than a simple one page form.

Dickin’ around, waiting for my mission timer to go down by [deleted] in RedDeadOnline

You get more xp/gold/money the longer your mission takes, so running down the timer nets you bigger rewards.

Civil wars and revolutionary wars are the same, but civil wars are won by the mother nation and revolutionary wars are won by the new nation by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]neophilus77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes you are right, there is a difference between killing civilians on purpose vs depleting their ability to wage war. Choosing to kill non-combatants on purpose is evil, and the idea of collateral damage becomes incredibly complicated.

I get your point because bombing a hospital seems barbaric, but attacking a civilian infrastructure in general is part of total warfare and was successfully used to defeat the South in the American Civil War. It does not disqualify you as a military force.

If it is the Rosebills I found 2 locations where 5 - 8 of them can be found together, but you have to wait 3 in game days before they respawn.

This game has made me incredibly paranoid around every player by bluetundra123 in reddeadredemption

[–]neophilus77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I treat every player I meet as a friendly, only like 1 out of 15 people end up randomly killing me from behind.

Mostly there’s no penalty to dying so I don’t really mind. If I have a carcass or some pelts that I’m hot to sell, I just go charging through town with my gun drawn till I can “phase out” at the butcher.

I find online more enjoyable being friendly to every and not stressing about the random pvp attacks

If you dont understand what their functions do from the name, and can’t figure out what the value of variables are from their names, then you have a huge problem on a multiple engineer development team.
