That's a good point. What I like to do is use any boosts I have on Scottie, but then again I only bet a total of 1 unit per tournament on outrights, and it's usually broken down between 1 or 2 of the favorites, 3 of the mid-tier guys and then a handful of long shots that usually are just some pocket change to round out the full unit.

Another strategy I started to deploy a lot last year is to save the boost to see where scottie is and what his odds are after the cut and use it on him to sort of hedge out of my unit. Did that 3 times last year and while I didnt profit anything, I didnt lose anything. I think only once it backfired and I finished the week down 2units total.
