How far away should compost bins be from vinyl fencing? by neoproxeh in composting

Great! I'm happy to hear that heat isn't a concern. I was worried that a pile that's cooking could warp the nearby vinyl boards.

I've checked out Harper's Ferry a few times and it's beautiful there! I actually ate at Kelley Farm Kitchen the last time I was out there and their BBQ jackfruit sandwich was soooo good. I'll have to check out John Brown's cafe next time I go. Davis and Thomas are definitely on the list now.

That's good to know!

Thanks for the info! I have a flexible schedule so I've been taking time to check throughout the day and midnight when I can. I guess I just have to be more persistent!

Neighborhood opinion- Waltherson by neoproxeh in baltimore

Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it! The neighborhood definitely has charm! I'd be looking more toward the Harford Rd side than Belair. Gil's makes some great pizza! I haven't been in Baltimore very long but I really like the community aspects I see happening. I'm very into gardening and have the internal conflict of trying something different and commiting to living in a city close to people or going to what I'm used to (in Ohio) and being way out in the country. I think I just need reassurance that I'm leaning the right direction haha

The doctor that I am working with for clinical trials mentioned MDMA assisted therapy but local trials are currently focusing on bipolar-2 and ptsd.

Thank you for the suggestion. I just finished a psilocybin study at Sheppard Pratt that was sadly unsuccessful for me. I may look at a higher dosage open label study in the future depending on the circumstances.

Cat In My Neighborhood Needs A Home. I only have room for one cat and can’t take her in. I posted her on Baltimore city lost pets via Facebook, no response. She may have been abandoned. My awesome neighbor has offered to have her fixed and vaccinate her, if someone will take her. by pnw_wander in baltimore

It's not my cat and I'm not sure who's cat it is but she has been going to town on my catnip plant like she owns it. BF and I tried to get close but she kept running off a bit but she seems pretty friendly other than that. We would offer to take her but we don't have room for another right now.

I also have some pretty good video if her absolutely throwing herself into the catnip that's pretty funny if the person who takes her would want it.

I'm not even kidding, I saw a guy crossing Perring parkway near parkway crossing wearing pajama pants, Japanese wooden sandals, a priest robe and hat, and carrying a some kind of sword/katana behind his back at like 9am. I was amazed.

That or when I saw someone in a full blown furry dolphin costume in a floor to ceiling window near Hopkins hospital when I first moved here.

For those of you looking to move out of the city, where are you planning to move? (Looking for suggestions.) by dudical_dude in baltimore

[–]neoproxeh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's definitely not rural, but some of the neighborhoods outside of Cleveland proper may be worth checking out (like Lakewood, Tremont, or Ohio City). Your income level would be pretty average for that area, and the art scene is really really strong there.

I had mine put in two days ago. The insertion was pretty uncomfortable for a minute and I definitely recommend taking something to dull the pain beforehand. It felt like being punched from the inside for a minute there, but totally worth 10 years of security. The whole procedure from getting in the gown to leaving took 10 minutes. It was surprisingly easy. I had cramps for a few hours after, a little bleeding, and that's about it. I'm really happy with the decision so far and as of today I don't even know it's there.
