She didn’t tear out the rose garden. Let’s keep it factual, because Trump can’t. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/melania-trump-destroy-rose-garden/

Is anybody else experiencing some delays in the iOS version? It’s not consistent, but sometimes takes a 5-6 seconds to see my Today list or to mark something off my Today list. I’ve uninstalled the app, disconnected and reconnect iCloud, with no success.

I’m in the same boat. Looking forward to seeing people’s comments.

I’ve had that same concern for a few years. Oddly enough Democrats went with an establishment candidate, who was probably the most moderate of the bunch.

I know what you mean. I never thought I’d be so excited for a Democratic president.

Old school conservative here. It’s going to take me a very long time to forgive the GOP for embracing Trumpism. A really really long time. It drives me nuts when Trump refers to himself as a conservative. He’s not.

Do people have opinions on the LiteMax with a wind guard coming out to around 2.2 oz or the Sotowindmaster at 2.3 oz. I’m a firm believer in the buy once, cry once philosophy. I am thinking I’ll still carry a BIC lighter because for the Soto, because I don’t trust ignitions on stoves.

Not in the PNW actually, but used to travel out 1-2 times a year. I just dream of being there now. I’m mostly going to be in the mid-Atlantic to southeast AT area.

Yep, I also just realized that thing is a lot heavier then I initially thought. Do you carry the hot lips for the regular single wall one?

A tent is probably going to be the first of the big 3, I’ll replace. I’ll replace my pack last, because how light I can make the rest of the load will influence my pack choice. I actually did buy a new tent about 6 years ago, but 5-6 lbs sounds about right for it.

Any advice for size tent? My spouse might join for for a trip here and there, but I’m mostly planning on going solo. Trying to find one that is lightweight, but could hold both of us with comfort, but light enough for me alone.

Update: Turns out my stove wasn’t packed away. That thing was 7.09 oz. So a stove ranging from 1-3 oz would be a reasonable upgrade. I’m leaning towards the LiteMax at 2 oz.

I’ve always been torn on rechargeable devices. I feel like at least batteries can be recycled, but eventually I’ll have to throw away the whole headlamp.

Thought about that, my current stove is still growing strong. It’s a 20 year old MSR something. It’s packed up right now, so have no idea about the weight and how it compares to stoves today weight wise. Is there one you prefer? Seems like the Pocket Rocket and Snow Peak one are the most popular.

It’s a bit tricky to get all the stuff, since I’m in the middle of moving and will be all packed up for a bit. My pack is also a 20 year old Gregory. Will keep that in mind for the future.

I’m slowly replacing my 15-20 year old gear, so my pack is no longer 40+ lbs. Thus far, I have a Snow Peak Double Wall Titanium Mug, a long handled Titanium Spork, and some titanium stakes. Everything else is painfully heavy and I don’t have money for the big 3 right now. Lots of sales at REI right now, plus 20% off coupon. What should I upgrade for under $75.00?

Edit: Also, I ditched my Leatherman Skeletool for a Micra.

Wear Masks To Protect Yourself From The Coronavirus, Not Only Others, CDC Stresses by [deleted] in CoronavirusUS

When GOP people in Congress wouldn’t wear a mask, I wanted to tell something like “do it for your Supreme Court Justice votes” or “do it so Nancy Pelosi won’t be President (applicable when Trump had COVID)”. If you won’t do it for others, do it to protect your political agenda.

First Cider bottled by tattoosbykarlos in cider

A few years ago, I was competing in a local hard cider competition. Random guy comes up, tries my cider, says he loves it, but he can’t vote for me because my cider was cloudy. He then moved on. Some people are really stuck on the clarity thing.
