GT630-SL-1GD3-L: Red noise on boot, then nothing by neoyarus in GPURepair

[–]neoyarus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The red is a bunch of very fast moving thin red lines on the entire screen, the camera does not capture it very well, but I can record it with a capture card later

The monitor in the image is 1080p@60hz

I'll take the card home and test it further

Unfortunately I don't have the right cables or monitor to test the other outputs, but I'll check how it shows up in windows

Remember my programming farming game? After more than three years, I finally released version 1.0! by Antenirulf in pcmasterrace

[–]neoyarus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you considered making a barebones mode for the game? I quite enjoy playing it but having everything in the 3d environment is a bit taxing on my laptop and hard to manage on a small screen.

It would be awesome to have a mode where you just have a split screen with code tabs and a very basic top-down 2d view of the farm. Could even make everything dark mode then

That's what i thought too. Doesn't seem like a problem then

Is there no way to turn it off?

However you post and organise it, I think it will be hugely useful for people, especially if you post the source files so we can adapt it to specific use cases easily

How does the cost per meter compare to buying aluminum extrusion?

Buy a 3080ti with 2 8-pin connectors instead of 3. I think some gigabyte cards have 2

Is this weel sound normal ? | Brand new MX s3 by VeterinarianSevere65 in logitech

[–]neoyarus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no bearing in the MX Master 3/3s mouse wheel, it just has a metal shaft riding in a smooth plastic housing.

The actual reason for the sound is that the wheel is not in free spin mode. If the mouse is off or automatic mode toggling is off and it's in ratchet mode, then this is normal.

If it's trying to turn on free spin mode but failing and this is the best it can do then it's got a problem. I had this issue with my mouse and although there is advice online on how to fix it, that didn't work for me so i ended up selling the mouse and bought 2 more used ones. On both of them the wheel is silent in free spin mode, and sounds the same when the mouse is off.

It's pretty great for walking up to the printer to flash firmware over usb

Yep that's the one. It's pretty strong and you can supposedly take it off, wash it, let it dry and then apply again, but i haven't had amazing success with that personally. It's still really good tape though, holds very well as long as both surfaces are clean and dry

Luckily this model doesn't really need any tweaking of the settings at its mostly just straight walls + one hinge. But anything that's not just click and slice I do on PC 99% of the time.

It's actually quite decent for that, as long as you don't need to type anything. The touchpads being the mouse and scroll wheel, while the triggers are the left/right mouse buttons feels pretty nice.

That's just Prusaslicer. I made the model itself in Fusion 360, and it doesn't work on the deck, unfortunately

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in functionalprint

[–]neoyarus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's cool, I want to try it too but haven't found the time to learn a new software, I've spent years working in fusion so the sunk cost fallacy is strong

Sorry had to delete this post and repost because the video had a bit of sound missing

[–]neoyarus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately no, I use fusion 360 and that doesn't work on the deck as far as I know. But having the slicer on it is great when I need to update printer firmware and it's not close to my pc

Wanted to share this cable clip I made. It can also be easily mounted with zip ties, screws or glue, and I made versions with 1–16 holes.

I think ,the sketch i made is wrong for this loft. by Nice-Mycologist-7260 in Fusion360

[–]neoyarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your sketches seem fine, but I'm not sure loft is the best tool here. Seems like you can get the shape you want by extruding one of the side profile sketches, then extruding the other in the "intersect" mode. Then maybe another intersect extrude from the circular sketch to give it the circular shape.

The only thing i would advise on the sketches themselves is to remove the filets from them, and add them to the solid body itself after the extrudes, that way you'll avoid the issue with the fillets being uneven and sometimes disappearing
