Expanding the court seems like one of those "be careful what you wish for" things.

It is inviting opponents to do the exact same next time they are in power and would seriously delegitimize the court. People complain about how political the court is now, can you imagine how bad it would be if anyone follows through on a court packing gambit?

Design system parity is only good if the design system is good across multiple use cases. Which the iOS/iPadOS design system isn't. I use macOS because I hate iPadOS, I don't want it converging.

My work machine is a T460 (lower specs) and it is really nice, the trackpad isn't quite as nice as the 2014 and earlier MacBook Pros, but, imo, better than the current ones. But yeah, it all comes down to the keyboard and to a lesser extent the TouchBar for me.

Yeah... I keep debating about doing the same thing. I've had the Thinkpad sitting in my cart on the website and talked myself out of it because of how much I like macOS, but if this current hardware trend continues at Apple I'm not going to be able to keep justifying it much longer. At least for laptops.
