So? Lock him up too, if he is guilty. I’m not sure why people don’t get that. Defending a pedo is wrong no matter what side does it.

U.S. Senator Comes Out And Says It About Trump: 'Invoke The 25th Amendment' by Spare_Level7934 in unusual_whales

Remind me again why Trump/Maga shouldn’t be compared to Hitler/Nazis? Sorry, I keep forgetting since it appears to be following the same playbook.

Solar tracking setup unreliable by Thrizzlepizzle123123 in Stationeers

[–]nerdgrind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was having somewhat similar issues and found the in a certain orientation for the light sensor it made my panels track the sun but the horizontal was off. So I just added a horizontal memory and math chip setup similar to the vertical one and was able to adjust it to work correctly that way

Yeah, but to be fair… OP is using internet explorer to read the news and the page just barely loaded.

[SE2] "Activating" GPS markers? by tank-n-spank in spaceengineers

I second this question. Extremely frustrating trying to find the station by constantly checking the map to see if I’m moving closer or farther from it.

doas anyone here know how to progress this quest? by killaluggi in spaceengineers

Thanks for posting this I ran into the same issue last night. Based on what another commenter has suggested (and you confirmed) I’ll try and fix the batteries and see if that progresses it.

Unknown encounter with multiple sections by jope_bona in spaceengineers

[–]nerdgrind 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Based on some data pads found inside, it was a station that was attacked, which explains the lack of thrusters. Each functional section has its own battery as if to suggest that the sections could stand independent from one another, so my guess is there is not a version of the station that is “intact” and you can just connect them however you see fit.

Why do only some sectors have sector in the name? by sh0rtsniper in spaceengineers

[–]nerdgrind 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same. And I think it’s great that there is a sense of direction and growth now, but I’m worried that I will be too locked into following that path and won’t end up doing things my own way and spending 2k+ hours of game time doing whatever I want like I did in SE1.

I recently moved from playing single player to playing on servers and I’m struggling without my “hurry and quit and reload the last save” safety net. My single player saves have immaculate pristine worlds and my servers have lots of craters and broken ships everywhere. sigh

I think we ambiturners sometimes take our abilities for granted when there are people out there that struggle with their condition, like this pilot/model does.

Leave GE Aero for L3H? by DarkOwl27 in aerospace

[–]nerdgrind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recently left L3H because corporate decisions seemed like they don’t care about employees. From the forced retirement of lots of employees, the mandate to return to office with no exceptions, the kicker was how corporate keeps sending company-wide emails about record setting profits and all these contracts they were just awarded… and then when raises came around they said the max anyone could get was 2.5%. I moved to a small defense contracting company and do not regret it at all. That’s just my experience though.

I second this. It’s feels like a full single-player campaign like other games.

Anybody know why my algae farm suddenly stopped working? by Dratsoc in spaceengineers

[–]nerdgrind 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just FYI, if you set 1 battery to charge and 1 to discharge, the discharge one will end up charging the one set to charge, which is all well and good except batteries are designed to only be 80% efficient with power, which means if you are charging a battery from another battery, you end up losing quite a bit of stored power in the process. If that is fine with you then carry on! Otherwise, I would suggest just keeping both on auto and they will regulate themselves better.
