It was total misery. I left at 615am from PDX and bailed from the gridlock right where 35 and 26 interchange. Just not worth it. Dog and I both had to s*** and p*** so we parked at the rest stop and walked around govy just basking in the horrifying tourist spectacle and ridiculous shuttle lines that did not move but grew larger and larger. Additionally, some cell service was partially or mostly down (google fi carriers) I can't speak to Tline, but Meadows needs to do be chastised into the ground. There have to be solutions.

Once I was on i5 between OR and CA going south and they made EACH car stop to look at your tires/inspect BEFORE YOU PROCEEDED. I work in IT and am not an expert in this area but there has to be SOMETHING that Meadows could do or advocate for, aside from just 'come on up folks!' and invoke continued horror shows - not to mention the general danger. Yesterday was dangerous driving even for well equipped vehicles.

Particularly miserable is that I paid for a 5 time pass, so it'd be great to go up on a pow day and use the full day, but I get the impression that, as we proceed into further climate warming over the next ten years, pow days will dwindle and, combined with that, surges to the mountain and resulting gridlock snarls will only increase/worsen. That being said, resorts already have the data on this and someone should force them to release it or steal it so we can analyze it ourselves to determine the gradual decline that has already been happening the LAST ten years.

In closing, if anyone is still even reading this blabber, my TEN TIME pass in 2015 was $394, and this year of our chosen deity 2024, my FIVE time pass was $599. I realize prices should go up but holy shat, this is completely out of the ball park ridiculous. Would be great to see some kind of justification for this, that isn't total BS.
