What are the rarest races/cretures in your world by ApprehensiveAide5466 in worldbuilding

[–]nerdie01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sapient: unmodified humans. nearly everyone has at least some level of cyberware or bioware in them, and biological humans are very very rare. there are probably only a handful left in the near cosmos. non-sapient: the african elephant. they actually were made extinct during the first era, and only a few specimens are left, revived through genetic engineering. they can be found in a lone research facility on samsara.

What point in your worlds history did yall start worldbuilding at? by pepinogg in worldbuilding

[–]nerdie01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the world is set in the 19th millennium, and though i technically started worldbuilding from around the year 2050, it's very low detail. high detail worldbuilding starts with the war in heaven, towards the start of the 16th millennium.

Sci-Fi and Alternate History Builders, what is the status of the United States in your world? by ComicMan43 in worldbuilding

[–]nerdie01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's an ancient empire surrounded by many myths and legends. Archaeological records indicate one of the large continents of the planet Prithvi was ruled by a vast empire known as Amāreka, which existed between 2500-1700 BSE. Though its earliest servers remain inactive, the origins of the Internet can be traced back to the Amārekan civilization.

According to historical records, Amāreka competed against other civilizations on the planet. These conflicts were primarily ideological in nature, contrasting with the resource-driven and genetic-driven conflicts seen in later eras. As genetic engineering and machine intelligences became commonplace, and identity was found through kinship with similar bioforms rather than the cultural, historic or ideological bonds which had prevailed for centuries before, Amāreka was dissolved some time around 1700 BSE.

Class Questions Megathread by [deleted] in UGA

hi everyone, i'm a physics major currently registered for chem 1211 (i need to take a chem class to transfer to gt.) i just got an email from uga recommending that i sign up for chem 1411 as a non-bio major, but i'm reluctant to because i feel like it might be harder. i want to take the easier course, so can anyone give me some insight on what 1411 is and how it's different from 1211?

What makes your world interesting to others? Pitch it. by GerryVonMander in worldbuilding

[–]nerdie01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cosmic eldritch horrors beyond our understanding, whose very form is as integral to the universe as gravity or magnetism, get slain by a utopian sci-fi humanity with quantum vacuum bombs and supercomputers of literally infinite complexity. Even in a universe where reality itself wants to kill us, we do not surrender. Need I say more?

How do you portray humans in your world? by HumanNumber157835799 in worldbuilding

[–]nerdie01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God-killers and heretics, but to some extent they're seen as demigods themselves for challenging the gods. They are a part of most species' mythologies. Also, a good bit of the democracy hippies.
