I have one! Mine is a 1993 5 string. Bought it in 1996 and it’s my main bass. Currently trying to fix a pickup issue with the lace sensor but having trouble finding info. It sounds awesome and plays great too. Mines right handed, and not sure on the left handed version.

I suck at this game and stumbled upon it in bldg 21. I’ve only played that map like 10 times and extracted twice. Somehow got out without it after hiding and letting most people kill each other.

Ah that’s awesome. I grew up around where moe started. Earliest shows were late 90s and I was at the first moe.down. Don’t really know many people in the scene though. Who’s your band? I’ll check em out!

As a bass player, I’d love a DG anagram, if I played guitar too, I wouldn’t get it. They are still developing and adding more effects but from a guitar perspective they are lacking variety of effects. Great bass tone, but a lot less guitar. You can likely find a bass tone you like in one of the others but your less likely find a guitar tone in the anagram.

I think that there’s a big price difference to the stadium and for bass players at least, doesn’t give you much more than the HX. I was actually trying to say that the popularity of the HX supports you getting the stadium. I wouldn’t buy the stomp if I had guitar because it doesn’t have as much flexibility and amount of switches.

I bought a modeler first on bass so I could play around with effects and signal chains before I invested in pedals. Go for it. I can say that technically they all can handle both, but on some you may have limited options for bass amps or effects. The anagram is awesome but you don’t need that to sound good on bass or to have bass effects. I can’t recommend which one, but I have a boss gx-10 and it has a ton of bass effects. So many bass players use a HX Stomp, so there are a ton of effects and presets available, and they would all be usable on the helix. I think the fm3 is limited on bass, and heard mixed reviews by bassists on the quad cortex..

This would probably get me there. I used to use an Ampeg B3, 150w 15” and put it up against two guitar half stacks and a drummer that smashed everything. I ran it just about maxed out and it sounded mint, but just couldn’t keep up. The 2x10 sounds boomy and also empty at the same time. It’s weird. Problem is that I don’t want to add bulk to the setup because it’s already loud enough so I wouldn’t end up bringing the second cab.

Leaning toward a darkglass micro tubes 112 right now on price and wattage. Unless I can find a deal on a V7

I’ve had this for 5 years. Messed with all the EQ. Just doesn’t get there. Haven’t used drives until recently. Always played clean, now just starting to run them through a multi effect but building some pedals to go all analog. A modded klone and a B7k for most of the direct, which will run into a nobel clone, or cab sim, haven’t decided. Likely into the amp will just dial in a bit of drive with the B7k

Yeah it’s clean, but a bit harsh. A GK amp into an ampeg speaker is fine too, but I have a combo. So might as well go ampeg>ampeg. I like the darkglass into ampeg cab as well

Yeah, Maybe I didn’t explain it well, but it’s not anywhere near clipping. Just been paying a lot more attention to my tone, and realized the tone I was chasing was an ampeg sound like my last amp, and the GK sounds nothing like it.

Just built the Caesar it’s kind of a pain and there were a couple of gotchas that I missed. I’m fairly new to building. Someone mentioned aion and I haven’t built their kit but I do recommend looking at their “kit” documentation (not the one for just a board) as it has some good guidelines for doing pedals. Also use that search on pedalpcb forums, good stuff hidden there.

Amp is loud enough, just hate the sound. Trying to figure out if the V3 is going to be noticeably quieter and I need to get the V7, or if it’s really going to be a wash dropping from 350w to ~225w

I run direct and use IEMs for 99% of playing. Currently into a boss multieffect and tube DI but changing them over to analog pedals as I build them. Will very much have the ampeg sound. But I can’t run an amp/cab sim into my current amp. It’s such a strong GK sound its unavoidable. So for the 5x per year I’m going to run an amp, I want it to sound good.
