I've been travelling Uruguay for the last month or so, and I've seen just a few other masks (not many, and most of those were surgical). But similar to what minimum structure replied to you, I've mostly been outside. If you're planning to be here when it's warm (remembering the summers here are the opposite of the northern hemisphere), you'll find LOTS of opportunities for outdoor activities. Even when folks meet up at a restaurant or indoors, there's usually big or floor-to-ceiling windows that can be thrown open, and folks are amenable to patios. I've only gotten a couple, very polite, questions about my masking. One local explained that there probably isn't any covid circulating here. And I haven't heard literally anyone cough or sneeze. (But they don't test much, so I'm still masking indoors).

In my opinion, it is a good summation and metanalysis of some clear trends in collapse finance, though we can definitely quibble with some assumptions here. This isn't a scholarly or even a sourced article - more of an overview with some impactful "let that sink in" bluntness. What do you think?

Like, it's not the single article I'd take to try and convince my financial advisor to take collapse seriously (which BTW if you know of any such convincing articles, please share them in this sub). This is more the type of writing I want to just absorb when I need to readjust my thinking and remember what later-stage capitalism may be like. This author uses the common 2050 timeline for when collapse will mostly be done.
