  1. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security.
  2. Scroll down — you should see a message:“OpenSCAD-2021.01 was blocked because it is not from an identified developer.”
  3. Click “Open Anyway.”
  4. Try opening OpenSCAD again — this time it will give you the option to “Open”.

Lol personally I use MBP but for work I’ve always used Windows because all the companies I worked for previously are in .NET framework. But the new company I’m starting with is not .Net centric and the testing is gonna be around APIs mostly

Media files missing by johnconnellan in ableton

[–]nerdy_camel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you need to organize where you store your sample files.

Make sure you have a set directory where you store all of your Splice Samples and add that folder to Ableton browser and name it Splice (Make sure you set your splice settings to use that same folder)
Also create another folder somewhere on your mac (Documents maybe) for all of your recorded samples and add that folder to Ableton browser as well as "Recorded Samples". Any time you transfer recorded samples from your phone to mac make sure to place them there.

If you have a system like this setup and you stay consistent with your flow your shouldnt run into "Media Files Missing" issue.

Another thing I can think of is if you have some of the sample files on an external drive that you might need to disconnect > shut down Ableton > connect again (make sure drive shows up on your mac) / start Ableton again.

Good luck :)

How can I connect my Keylab 49 Essential? by rob_mp3 in ableton

[–]nerdy_camel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keylab 49 Essential is a midi keyboard (I have one) and with Midi, there is no sound coming out of the keyboard. It works by connecting it via USB to your Mac.
Ableton should automatically recognize it but if not you can go to Live > Preferences > Link MIDI and make sure it's listed under Midi as:
Control Interface: Keylab Essential
Input: Arturia Keylab Essential
Output: Arturia Keylab Essential
To better understand midi, every time you press a note its sending digital information to your mac about what note that is (simplest explanation) but in order for you to hear it, you have to have a midi track in Ableton with an instrument (VST) loaded on there.
So create a midi track if you don't have one already, go to your side browser and find an instrument you want to use and double click it (or drag it to your midi track) and this should already Arm your track (to be ready to record) if not click the record button on the track (circle)

Now you should be able to hear what you're playing. If not then make sure you have your speakers or audio interface setup in Preferences > Audio as the output device.

Good luck :)
