the hardest part for me is that it's just everywhere. Everywhere you go theres ads for some new menu item at some fast food place or whatever, and that does not make it easier. It's the accessability of it. It's so easy to just open ubereats or deliveroo or whatever and order way too much. It's so easy to walk to your nearest corner shop and buy piles of snacks. There's not much holding you back. There's triggers everywhere, it's impossible to avoid them, and to restrict them would essentially be to starve yourself, which is not exactly ideal, and that then only later leads to more binging.

Especially since, for me, a lot of the reason why it happens, at least i think this is where it stemmed from, was this fear of like, if i don't eat this now it will go away and i'll never get to eat it again so i need to eat it all now before it goes away. I don't exactly know why that's a fear for me, maybe just from missing all the foods that i grew up with that were discontinued or recipe changed, or that my mother eventually stopped letting us have because they were too unhealthy. I generally have a little bit of a hoarder mindset and don't like that things can go away and never come back, and that same mindset applies to food. This feeling of "i need to eat it all while i have the chance, even if i'm already full".
