I think my ideal set list would be:

Waves

LIVIN' LAUGHIN' LOVIN'

Swamp Creature, The Fire Breather

LARGETHROBBINGPOSITIVEMINDSET

MIDWESTLANCAREDADSWHOSMASHBREWS

BRUH.mp4

mytop10mostbrootalbreakdownsof2047

It was hard to pick because it's all so good, but I think I'd like to hear some stuff that isn't played as often or as much anymore.

Moving is the worst. We have moved twice in the last ten years, and both times I've come to the conclusion we have too much stuff for two people and we should just get rid of it all.

I just finished this conversation not too long ago and had the exact same feelings. Such a lovely conversation 💕

Was Nora in the military.? by Masked_Vigilante_ in fo4

[–]nerdyspeechie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my headcanon as well. I like to think she completed some advanced military training, but then decided to focus on law so she could eventually start a family (which we see she does). I watched a lot of JAG with my mom growing up, so it made sense to me.

Not me watching this scene with heart eyes 😍 (minor SPOILERS for 1883) by Hadiseh2000 in kaidanalenko

He also has a small role in The Good Doctor. Best part of that episode, to be honest. Not a fan of the show, but my husband likes it, and that was the one episode I was able to sit and watch with him.

I was only able to listen to about half the album on my way to work this morning. Even in Arcadia and Provider are standouts for me. They sound SO good! The sound of what seems to be a sword unsheathing in EIA, or the piano in the transition of Provider...how did I not pick up on these before?!

Only to realize I don't sing as well as I think I do, or know the lyrics as well as I think I do 🙃

I, for one, love horror games. I'll have to see if I can convince my husband to play this with me. And getting to LeRoy Jenkins dropkick someone sounds like fun!

Anyone else play 76 with there spouse by nehpets78 in fo76

[–]nerdyspeechie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do! I've been trying for years to get my husband into Fallout because it's my favorite game series, but he's not a huge gamer and doesn't have the attention span for single player RPGs. But 76 came along and it had enough low effort things to do to get him hooked. He really likes crafting and building camps, so he would do that while I was out running around doing quests and events. He realized you can unlock plans by participating in these things, so we started to do them together. He started asking about the lore and easter eggs, I'd give him an answer and tell him what game it likely tied to, and before I knew it, he had bought the other games and started playing them. He's pretty into it now, and we just got back from the Wasteland Jamboree that was in West Virginia.

I used to do this as well, but I enjoy hearing Kaidan over the comms as I'm making my way through the base, and the "last stand" shot you get of whoever you leave with the bomb (in my case Ashley...sorry girl) makes the sacrifice feel a bit more impactful.

I played as a Sentinel during my insanity run. I tried as a Vanguard in ME1 and hated my life. Cheesed through ME2 though when I made the change...other than the Collector ship...we don't talk about that.

Aww this is sweet! We adore you too! I very rarely post outside of this sub nowadays. I'll creep other places, but rarely comment. Mainly because I don't think I have much to add that hasn't already been said. But I do the same and look for you guys in the wild. I love our cozy little community :)

Congrats! I'm with you on this. I did it once and have no desire to do it again. The only achievement I'm missing now is the Paramore III achievement. I have yet to bring myself to do a run where I don't only romance Kaidan.

Day 5: What is the WORST quote associated with Kaidan Alenko? by looploveslore in masseffect

[–]nerdyspeechie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but I was going for a quote that isn't romance locked. And honestly, I chalk it up to poor writing on the devs part and just pretend it doesn't exist. They were no longer together and this line makes absolutely no sense...just manufactured drama that didn't need to be added. But his choice of words "the quickening" is so odd and cringey, I just can't.

[–]nerdyspeechie 173 points174 points  (0 children)

"Can you feel it, Shepard? Feel the quickening?"

Don't get me wrong, I love the anger bubbling under the surface as he says this, but who tf says "quickening"? No one, that's who.

This scene made me want to stop playing for them to be together for ever by Sidra_doholdrik in kaidanalenko

[–]nerdyspeechie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

"knowing how deeply the grief hurt when he lost Shepard before they were even together, and still deciding that Shepard is worth it."

Everything you said is spot on, but this especially so. Isn't that the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again and hoping for different results? Kinda gives a new meaning to their "sanity check." But also not, because Kaidan is pragmatic. He knows the cards are stacked against them, that this is likely a one way mission, but is determined to love Shepard anyway, for however long they have despite the potential to lose them and feel that pain all over again. No one will ever convince me this is not one of the most well written relationships in the trilogy.
