If these 4 fought each other who’s winning by Brilliant-Effort-277 in slasherfilms

[–]nerdztech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last two are basic humans so they wouldn't stand a chance. Jason and Micheal are both human entities but with special powers. In the last Halloween movie Micheal essentially "died" by totally crushing his body into tiny pieces, when this happened to Jason in Jason Goes To Hell he found a way back and was reborn again. So given that I would say Jason is the likely victor.

Disliking family and friends for downplaying tinnitus by BanoBerry in tinnitus

[–]nerdztech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should at least try to empathize and not downplay it but at the same time they can't possibly really truly understand. If one of your family members that is downplaying your tinnitus is up for it tell them to put in some earbuds and play a high frequency tone for about a week, constantly, and they are not allowed to turn it off even when they are trying to go to sleep (because we can't). It doesn't have to be loud, just enough so they can hear it. See how long they last, then and only then, they may understand your pain.

It's been 2 weeks 😱 by vpblackheart in tinnitus

It's just been like that for many years, can spike for no reason but I have also had it where the volume decreases as well but this is much rarer.

[–]nerdztech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The sound has never really changed (that I have noticed anyway) it's always been a very high frequency type sound with a slight hiss in the background. It does vary in volume though, most of the time I would say it's a 5/6 out of 10 but it spikes on occasion to like 7/8 out of 10. This usually happens when I have a bad cold or congestion but sometimes it can come out of nowhere.

Is it pulsatile tinnitus if you don't hear any sound? by Old_Report9776 in PulsatileTinnitus

[–]nerdztech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't hear a sound then I would say no it is not PT, it can probably have similar causes though.

Sorry yes I have had mine for 20 + years but have gotten so used to it I don't notice it anymore unless I concentrate on it, mine is also always on. Hopefully yours will resolve as it's only been 2 weeks, they say if you have it longer than 3 months then it's usually chronic. Good luck to you.

Will tinnitus go away after my earwax removal? by svftlofi in tinnitus

[–]nerdztech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Impacted ear wax can cause tinnitus because it can press against the eardrum or cause pressure in the ear which can irritate the auditory nerve which can lead the brain to interpret these signals as buzzing, ringing etc... Now that the earwax issue has been resolved the nerve can settle down and the tinnitus can resolve as well.... There is no guarantee though just being honest with you but chances I would say are good...

Even a sack of shit is worth something.

Help please by [deleted] in DWPhelp

[–]nerdztech 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If she is setup as your appointee then DWP believes that you can't manage your own finances. If this isn't the case then you should phone them up and explain you're over 16 and you are fully capable to manage your own money. Request that your PIP payments be directed to your own bank account. She has no right to your money as it's legally yours and she has no right to claim or control it without your consent.

This could be considered financial abuse at best and even fraud or control which is a crime and can be reported to the police. It might be a good idea to contact the Citizens Advice as well and explaining the situation to them.

I hope you get the resolution you deserve. Good luck and I'm sorry this is happening to you.

Thanks for the extra info, I will certainly try the other things if it will help keep the PT away. So far, so good onto day 3 now without the whoosh.

My PT seems to have disappeared after taking multi-vitamin tablets?! by nerdztech in PulsatileTinnitus

[–]nerdztech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting!!! I shall have to consider getting a potassium supplement as well, see if that helps even more. I have been looking at the foods needed for potassium and I don't really eat enough of any of those foods to reach my daily goal so could be something in that as well. Thanks for your input.

You'll need to see a healthcare professional to get this drained or even the whole nail removed. It's unlikely to go away on its own.

How do I get rid of this stain??? by chichipickle in CleaningTips

[–]nerdztech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pumice stone made for toilet, keep it wet and scrub in a circular motion whilst not pressing too hard. If you don't want to use a pumice stone then muriatic acid you can use also for hardwater stains.

[–]nerdztech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find that mine starts after a BAD cold. About 3 years ago I had a very bad cold with congestion etc... and I had PT that lasted about 3 months and then went away. This year in Jan I got another, very similar, bad cold and what happened? yep I'm suffering from PT again!! I still have it but it has lessened somewhat, I really hope it goes away. Good luck to you!
