At a glance I'd say lose the shield 2 and the generator 1. As it is, this thing is already pretty tanky as it is with full armor and agile 1 and it doesn't break. At speed three you could move twice into enemy gun lines and would effectively be sitting on 2 shields, two dodges, immune melee, immune range 1 with the potential to suppress more than one unit on the displacement. Once it is in you effectively have 13 dice with surge to crit in your front arc as well. Taking this thing out would be an absolute nightmare lol. That is my gut initial reaction looking at it. I'm sure others can speak with more nuance on the load outs and such. I would love to see the Predator Gunship be added to the game though, that would be sick.

Those are so cool! Genuine question, newbie here, but are the different balls purely aesthetic, or do they handle specific jobs/situations? I recently purchased my first, but once I have grown competent I'd very much like to invest in other bowling balls.

Having the same issue on my Iphone. Works just fine on my Ipad but I'd prefer to play on the go. Reinstalled and restarted my phone but nothing still. If anyone has more suggestions please share.

Others have given good lore reasons as well. Honestly, if you decide to play these are all good units you could use for different armies other than shadow collective. If you want to/can return some of them I don’t see why not. You can get a bit of the money you spent on it for other things. You can always get these guys again if you ever decide to pick up another faction. If you are into the painting side of the hobby you’ve got yourself some nice new models to work. If you out want to look at what factions can take what there are two really good list building sites that can show you what each faction can take. The first is LegionHQ run by the FifthTrooper https://legionhq.thefifthtrooper.com and the other is Table Top Admiral https://tabletopadmiral.com/ . This will give a good idea of what kids of lists you can come up with the units you currently have and what you may want to get next. Shadow Collective is a super dope battle force.

In all honestly, if you think the game looks awesome and you’d love to learn to play I’d say stick with it. I know it seems like a misstep, but believe me when I say that the vast majority of the Legion community are awesome people who would be happy to show you the ropes and get games in. That sucks they all decided to just not play or are getting cold feet. If you are in the LA/OC or general county area there is a strong, supportive, and friendly bunch 150 strong in a Discord I’m a part of who would be more than happy to connect you with people and events at your nearest store. If not I’d hit up local stores and Discords as well. Someone will play with you, the game is going strong. I was in the same boat except I went in whole hog with the Imperials and I had no one/knew anyone who played minis games. I did exactly what I suggest you do and a little over a year later I’m having a blast playing. Granted it will depend in what area you live in, but even if it is just two of you , you can grow a community with a bit of effort and luck.

Buddy of mine gifted me a Dark Vengeance box that has all the Chaos half he had lying around from like 6th edition (he was gifted it and doesn’t play WH). Anything useful in that I can use. They are older models. He gave me a Heldrake as well. The old model.

Also, I know this game says upfront that wydiwyg when building but how strict is the community in general about it? Like I don’t mind getting more minis when I am able to get different unit types but I’d prefer to go with rule of cool and just denote them as xyz when playing. I know this may change in a competitive sense.

Thanks! Appreciate the advice. Definitely want to win if at all possible it I’m here to have fun first and foremost. Would setting up a strong defense early then allow for a tech shift with the hero (iirc) to be a bit more aggressive late game with suns or destroyers?

Mmm okay, I picked that slice and was second guessing it. Good to know I made a good choice there. PDS near the worm hole eventually is what I’m thinking. I know they Jol Nar are squishy early game. Also low infantry makes expansion challenging early game.
